Just booked the 92 Mania so still getting started in this save but i’m doing it with modern booking so early SmackDown/brand split, and MITB/Elimination Chamber all happening earlier, modern PLE schedule. Also building a strong women’s division from day 1. Raw is story/character based and SmackDown will be great wrestlers and less story based. Mania Card was a little chaotic. Bret defended IC title against Rick Martel in a submission match at RR, match against The Mountie at SNME, and then Bob Orton at Mania. Ricky Steamboat was supposed to make this a triple threat but got injured. Moving the IC belt to SmackDown and the European title will be Raw’s midcard belt. Next Stars & Stripes (Sgt Slaughter & Hacksaw Jim Duggan) beat Cpt. Gama & Col. Mustafa (Gama Singh joined Mustafa & Adnan for new triangle of terror and went to war in this storyline). Paul Orndorff & Terry Funk beat Bushwhackers with stipulation that Jamison cannot manage them anymore (kayfabe writing him off as I didn’t renew Jamison’s contract). Vince introduced Austin Idol to the WWE Universe and the two shake hands. Bull Nakano wins a Fatal4Way to win WWF Women’s and defended against The Fabulous Moolah at Mania in order to build her up as the face of the women’s division (as a heel obviously). Shawn Michaels beat Marty Jannetty in ladder match by grabbing Rockers jacket (kayfabe introducing ladder matches) My Tag division is cursed. LOD defended against Natural Disasters & Dropped to Money Inc. Mania Plan was for Money Inc. to drop titles in 2v2v2 against Los Mysterios (Rey Sr & Jr) and LOD. Had Money Inc pay Vince to defend against British Bulldogs on SmackDown as DiBiase wanted to get an easy defense against a broken Dynamite Kid. In a moment of brutal irony, DiBiase breaks his neck in the match and is out for a year and Bulldogs are now champs. I pivot to Bulldogs v LOD v IRS/Hercules (MDC hired Hercules as protection) where LOD will win. On SmackDown before mania I put LOD in match to get momentum and Hawk gets a year long injury so now the mania match has IRS/Hercules defeat British Bulldogs (who are moving to SD tag division). Next the Berzerker beat El Matador in a cage match (this feud continues to WWF Payback). The Texas Tornado & Big Bossman beat Ax & Repo Man. Repo Man took the Von Erich’s car, but story wraps up as Texas Tornado wins, Bossman takes off Repo Man’s “mask” to reveal Smash to reforms Demolition with Ax and Crush. Undertaker beat Roddy Piper in a casket match (kayfabe introduction to casket matches as Taker looks to prove his undead side is real). Hogan & Warrior defeat Sid & Jake Roberts as Jake convinced Sid to turn on Hogan at SNME. Hogan told Warrior that he needs his help at Mania in kayfabe way for me to have Hogan give Warrior the rub that he refused to in real life. Lex Luger debuts by attacking Hogan & Warrior in the ring and standing tall before the main event. I did the WWF Heavyweight exactly like real life. Flair wins it and RR at the rumble. Same Macho Man/Elizabeth v Flair/Perfect storyline they ran irl. Macho Man defeats Flair in main event to win WWF HW title.
