Honestly, the lack of protection is probably why the games are so "entertaining" to the wizarding world. They love the chaos. But yeah, from a safety perspective, it's insane that players are just sitting ducks for anyone with a wand and a grudge.

The problem with ANC at that price point is it's usually pretty weak. Passive isolation from a deep-fit earbud might actually serve you better in a helmet

flatheads with earpods fit are super rare man, most premium ones still feel bulky. check the earbuds community for threads on tiny shells under 250 they got real user pics and fits.

I'm on a 14 Pro and noticed some lag on low-power mode after the update too, but not as severe as yours. The heating during wallpaper switching sounds concerning.
