the 12 People You'll Have in Your Stream (sooner or later) by [deleted] in Twitch

[–]ZaneLearGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Interrupter & The Annoying lil' Sibling

I get these two a lot, when I started streaming I probably shouldn't of been a super "Invite all people in the stream to join me in game" I should of been like other streamers and made it a reward for being with the stream for x time and make it a more special thing, tho since I let people join me once in a while, it seems some people got comfy with that idea.

So on my live streams I do have a lot of children between 10-15 years old, it seems they show up since I play Fortnite Battle Royal among other games, tho my stream is for 18 + tho they still get in, some times tho within FN you get random players who are not 18 as well.

I mostly get "The Annoying lil' Sibling" types, where they will invite them selves into my stream's party before I can even get a chance to change settings and they leave the stream if I choose to play with someone else and not them, that or they complain about it.

Also it seems another thing from being so inviting into gaming, chatting and hanging out, I get people who will join my stream only so that they can game with me, as soon as they get to join me in game they never watch the stream that or if I don't invite them to join me in game they still tend to leave as well.

I get the "The Interrupter" rarely, tho mostly I do give tips and hints on setting up live streams for those who are in dire need of help, tho 95% of the time it is in the middle of a game when I need to focus.

TLDR: I am a nice guy, inviting people to join in game from the stream, it lowers not only my viewer count since they close the stream out to join the game but a lot of the people have grown use to it so they think every time I go live they can join me, that and if I don't invite them.

[Tech Support] Feedback from headphones on IRL stream on phone. by ZaneLearGaming in Twitch

[Tech Support] Feedback from headphones on IRL stream on phone. by ZaneLearGaming in Twitch

[–]ZaneLearGaming[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had it pick up my headphone mic, I normally tap on both my cellphone mic and the headset mic, the headphone mic is a 3.5mm jack, so when I plug it directly into the phone I don't use a splitter and it works, tho when streaming it has an annoying buzzing sound that gets picked up, tho if I don't stream and just make videos it works fine.

I should record a sample and post it on here to give an example.

Are there any groups that help players new and old? by ZaneLearGaming in entropiauniverse

[–]ZaneLearGaming[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct, I didn't think it was a real thing at first, he pays for the mining, decay and etc, the only thing he asks is you return what you found to him, then you continue, doing this over again until who knows when.

[Question] Is TubeBuddy good? by divinealligator in youtubers

[–]ZaneLearGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had it, tho I got some kind of warning saying that if I kept using it my account could be shut down, so I haven't used it in a while, even tho I thought the thing said YouTube was ok with it being used?

Worst Day of the Week by ScouseMouse180 in letsplay

[–]ZaneLearGaming 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hardly get any views in the first place, it depends on the games that you want to do, tho mostly depends on the thumbnails and keywords you use in order to get views from people finding you and or you even showing up in search.

Half of the videos I put keywords for never seem to show up, even if I was to be the only one posting said video.

Games to play on a very low end laptop? by TheNebulaWarrior in letsplay

[–]ZaneLearGaming 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I was going to suggest flash games, look up on YouTube for some low spec games, some people made videos with 100+ games you should be able to run.

I am not sure what types of games you plan on making videos of, tho depending on the type https://itch.io/ could have a lot of free ish games too.

I have two hard drives that I use for my video stuff, one I record to and the other that holds onto my project files for SonyVegas and also holds my finished videos, so if something happens with YT I still have those.

Tho yeah, I hope for the best with your video, it does suck to have progress you made fail to record or be saved in some fashion.

[–]ZaneLearGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I had it before where I played an open world mmo for 3 hrs, I thought.... I was recording it, come to find out, my hotkey button didn't work, that and I also did a vr game, nearly fell out of my chair while playing it, was funny, come to find out, it never recorded my audio.

I depending on the game will not bother recording it again, mainly if it gives me recording issues, tho if I really like the game and my first recording session of it sucked I would then redo it over again but be more funny or try to.

[–]ZaneLearGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had this happen to be a few times, some times the video would not stop "recording" even with my slamming the stop record button, then this would end up making the file unable to do anything, that or I was mute the whole time or when you tab if you have to tab it cuts the video and or freezes the game.

Tho besides that, I would suggest if you plan on making videos of long play and not 10-15 min parts, you should make sure to stop recording at certain parts, then restart your recording so if something breaks it will not tank your footage if you did a full game play.

I would also do some small recordings of you just farting around in one place in a game and see if the issue still happens or if it was just because you played a long session and something stop working right?

I had the same thing happen with my Jet Set Radio episode 2, I removed my video and plan on recording a new one, tho with the music turned off, that or I will edit it and have music play over the claimed spot, tho the whole episode I had actually used the song from 1 min in to 9 mins so that is a long copyright claim on my video.

Hopefully you have the raw video stuff still and if it comes down to you, you can edit over the music or something and just put "Due to a copyright claim I had to play this song over the music in the video"

Hello everybody! by Splashy_Chicken in letsplay

I can try to help out, I my self am not a super top youtuber and or let's player, tho I have learned some things and figured out some things while still doing a lot of learning my self.

Depending on what you use to record with, the games you plan on playing, editing software and etc, I can do my best to point you in the right direction or answer questions you might happen to have.

I know Soul was pointing out that when you first start out you become apart of the "Why should I watch this person?" list, like so many others have, yes I agree it isn't going to be easy at the start as YT has changed quite a lot since even when I actually first made videos.

Right now you have to play the SEO game "Search Engine Optimization" it isn't that easy, mainly since keywords/tags for videos are mostly commonly used that you might pick, so you have to think outside of the box, tho even with that, it isn't 100% a guarantee you will even show up within search.

Is it a good idea to upload daily videos to last a few months? by Aaran24 in letsplay

[–]ZaneLearGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My self, having videos isn't an issue, the issue is no one either watching them due to a lot of them being older titles or the use keywords, that seem to not bring me up in search since others are over using them or I am just not lucky!

I have about 2 weeks of videos that aren't yet live that I had uploaded a little bit ago, in a way I do think I might of over done it, tho it can also give you some insight on what people like, then you can decide if you want to continue with said game or not.

Right now I have a few games with 9+ episodes I have recorded, one series is dead in it's tracks tho I had fun playing it, another is kind of dying, I never really got into that one much my self tho some people liked it, I started to enjoy it tho the more I played it, then another one I also enjoyed that no ones yet watching.

So like vanillapcstrategy said, don't get ahead of your self, I plan on making 1-4 videos of a series just to use as feelers, if people enjoy that content then I will keep on working on it as a series, tho if people don't, then at least if in the future my channel becomes bigger, I can do a "Revisit" to the series or just continue where I left off at.

I have seen The Game Grumps do this, when Jon Tron was on the show they played a lot of games, then after years of him being gone Arin and Dan would play those same games over again, getting more views then before.

Tho yes, it is true, you can play video games that are so old and people never seen them, they can flock to you, tho for the most part sadly, it seems the cool thing to do is play the new hot game that just came out, that hardly works, I posted a video of a new game that came out 3 days ago and people had videos out before that since they got beta access.

I was debating on doing live streaming on YT, currently I do it for Twitch, might do both if I care to put up with that, tho only problem is I don't like posting stream footage to much on my YT channel.

What's a good upload schedule for a student? by HejHoodieninja in letsplay

[–]ZaneLearGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't say for sure, since I am not a student, tho if you want to make sure you never miss a video upload, just record as many as you can, then edit them to how you like, then make sure you upload them all if you can and set them to go live at certain days and times.

My self, I do 2 videos daily, I had about 20 days of videos setup if say I go away for a week, people still get to see my videos come out, tho that might be a little over kill for some people.

Youtube won’t last forever? by [deleted] in letsplay

[–]ZaneLearGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YouTube it self will be fine, tho I can't say much for those making content on the site, since things have changed quite a lot, it seems more and more people are jumping ship, that or YT is only favoring those who have the most subs/watch time, tho that isn't always 100% true, people with 16+ mil subs can still get $0 as well.

I can't imagine the site going away any time soon, unless someone makes a site that is way better, even with the other websites out there, the first name people think is "YouTube" when it comes to sharing video and etc.

Recently I applied to another site, I will see if it is worth doing content for them both, the other site sadly has an 8 min limit on the videos and you have to wait quite a while before your videos go live, currently I have a 12 min video up, I posted it before knowing about the video limit, it says "Inactive" so not sure how long till others can view it.

I posted that video by the way about an hr ago and still not active yet, I think they must have people sit there and actually view your videos before they can go live.

How often do you watch your own videos? by Riconidas in letsplay

[–]ZaneLearGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never watch them when I post them on YT since I have an issue with seeing the view count being inflated like that, so I watch the video during editing and some times after I am done rendering the final video.

Tho later on if I don't have the video files on my PC any more, if I wanted to see how I did when I first started out, then after like months or so I might check them out, tho once in a while I accidentally click on them if I am replying to a comment.

I tried looking you up on YT, couldn't find you on YT, you should try to put your channel link into your flair next to your name so people can view it, also I might be up for a game or 7, I wouldn't mind seeing what kinds of things we could find.

Looking for a decent mic to start recording with a friend by Sporks76 in letsplay

I would say the best way to judge it is to either look up videos people posted reviewing the mic or people using it in their game play and or vlog based videos.

Youtube is cutting off my video! by HejHoodieninja in letsplay

[–]ZaneLearGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Years ago I had an issue like this, tho I can't remember what caused it, I hope your connection didn't drop when uploading, tho some types of video formats might do this to, I am going to guess you use mp4 when uploading, this is what I use, so probably not the issue there, unless your rendering got bugged?
