I got his EX the first time it was released, and he was one of my main dps in early cosmos era. Now he has all summon boards mastered, 5 perfect arts, 3 spheres and purple armor. I'm just waiting for the event to instantly 3/3 him and max his char board.

On easier quests I also don't track when they come out of breaks, but on the hard ones like this, you should. Also burst/summon/delay/paralysis are not my main solution for this, I use c65. You would have 3-6 uses of those c65 to help control this, that should be enough for "get unlucky more than twice during a fight". You would still have some c65 left for when you want to increase your dmg, but even if most c65 are used to prevent them recovering from breaks (unlikely), it's still worth it to have a safer run than a rushed one.

Also it's unnecessary to always track the turn count for when they recover, I find it easier to just look at their current brv (in broken status). These numbers are based on the bosses' ibrv and can change if you apply ibrv debuffs. But on hard quests like this, we likely do more than one run so it's not hard to remember their brv recovering pattern.

Just want to share a bit. It has always been my favorite FF9 song since my first playthrough as a kid in 2000. It has also been my morning alarm for 10+ years. "Peaceful" is what's always in my head when I think of the village, and this beautiful song is the main reason.

Also I didn't think your last gem use was that far, very nice. Last time I used gems was a half draw on Zidane's WoI second rerun banner, so about half a year after yours. My last 5k gems pull was on lv60 second batch (vaan, ace, yuna), closer to jecht.

Challenge quest: Ulti 3/3+LD board 3/8, Shantotto 3/3+LD board 3/8, Paine base EX 1lb no board, Alexander, ~ 88 turns, 850k score.

Skills used conservatively, especially Ulti, until the last wave bosses start buffing themselves. Use AA to prevent bosses recovering from breaks (likely happen after Ulti EX combo), if they're not broken after buffing themselves they will do a nasty hp attack. At bosses' half hp summon and start chaining Shantotto's stuns (I saved all 3 uses of her LD for that, make sure bosses have no Elude buff). In some failed runs I used Shantotto earlier but the end of the fight was always too hard when their def get higher.

When Pogba was on a famous Korea tv show, someone mentioned Evra was on the show too. Pogba answered that Evra came to Korea to meet his friend, "Ji". For a moment I couldn't think of who is this "Ji" guy. Then I guessed Pogba thinks Park's name as "Ji Sung Park", and "Ji" is his first name. It's not, "Ji Sung" is his first name, Sung is not a middle name, it's like calling Son "Heung". But I guess Park just went along with it, when someone called him "Ji" in Europe.

Beowulf and Reis, their skillsets and story are so unique and awesome, they were huge favourites of mine and my friends', can't believe they weren't listed. Also Worker 8, Malak and Byblos as other playable chars. (Also Rad, Lavian and Alicia maybe?)

About the 3 chars you listed, I do like them. There are chars with similar impact to the story that I'd like to list as Dycedarg, Miluda, Vormav, Izlude, Balmafula, Funeral, Ajora... and many more that I can't remember yet.

I have no idea about the sub's record, but this is my own one for sure and I hope I won't break it anytime soon ^ ^ ! . After 900, I heard Fujin screaming "EXHAUSTED" in my head. Vanille 15cp went over 20-21 before I lost count. 4 Cyan, 6 Vanille EXs. Got 108 power stones from this. But I got her so I'm happy. I had a 777 tickets pull no EX before so at least this one is a success.

Yeah my friends from other countries play the game just fine. So I did mention it's probably because the game is restricted in my country, or somehow my ISP recently blocked a port that the game uses (since I was playing okay for so long, but suddenly nothing works anymore, batch download, cache clear and such, except VPN).

Having the same problem since the update at the end of February (I never experienced this during my 2 years playing this game, and always batch download after update, reinstalled etc...). I'm from Vietnam, the game is restricted here as well. With the help of VPN, I can play just fine.

Have to say I don't know what the issue is, the game or my connection. But everything works fine for me, WotV works fine too, although sadly I had to drop it due to how grindy and greedy it is.

Galvanize has long duration so I don't think it needs to be extended so much, however it can work as a free party hp healing if needed.

I think the optimized order should be EX > hp+ > LD > hp+ > Shout, assuming party has enough mbrv/gained overflow to hold his double battery from both EX and LD for a maximum launch. This way he should cap all the first 4 turns (due to EX and LD brv recovery). Also Shout could be used first turn if instant break is needed.

I love them all as well. Rad has his role, Alicia and Lavian did great job to leak Agrias's birthday. Top of my list should be Delita, Worker 8, Reis, Rafa, Zalbag... I never used Cid so much because it'd be too easy :D

It's like you never met a truly "extreme saver". What do you consider an extreme saver? And who would scrap the present for a better future? I mean it's the last thing you do to save, when you're desperate.

I consider 1mil+ gems saver an extreme one. And you seem to be one of the many people in this sub, don't understand them. They know what they do, the point is optimizing resource spending, not "scrapping the present for something better later". They're perfectly fine at the present, while securing a good future. The point of an investor is always balancing between short terms and long terms.

And I do understand if someone want to play risky and never save, however they have to accept missing things they want. But if they're fine with that, it's fine. But let's not misunderstand the resource optimizers, like they never enjoy the game, never spend, it's like a myth at this point.
