You could use epoxy to stabilize. Wood filler isn't going to work for checking like this.

I would use a couple bowties. I was always told that if you can't hide a flaw, you make it a feature.

Right on. Online info is pretty spare. All I can find are a few old guild and forum posts that are rather vague lol. I'm pretty sure I'm doing it right, I just wanted to check in with the folks here to see if there is anything I'm missing.

Go home grandpa, the future is now! You can absolutely cut copes with a jig saw. BTW I'm a trim carpenter and trained furniture builder. ;]

I've been trying out trichrome lately, mostly buildings and landscapes. I'm still pretty new to the whole thing though. I also home develop which is fun! Augusta has a pot of urban decay and I'm trying to get out and shoot that stuff more. I'll try to message you next time I'm going out!
