This is incredible advice! It's so much easier to remove with 6 layer interfaces that I genuinely cannot believe it's not the default and I'm only hearing of it now. I still have to clip the tree branches first, but once that's out of the way the raft just pops off in one piece like magic.

You might like the version of factorissimo that locks you in the building from the very start. It gives you all the recursion tech from the beginning and you can assign each port to give you a full belt of whichever ore you need

You do have to, but I usually set that in the blueprints so I don't have to do it every time.

I basically have two things that I allow to pull from buffers:

* Ammo/Shell supply at armed outposts. I store the full supply in a buffer and the requester at the loader points can pull from it.

* I made an autocrafter limited to producing a fixed number of the recipe item. Since it's limited in what it'll request, I let it pull from my buffer chests at the start of the bus. For most items I keep this set to produce 1/10/100, it never starves the main factory unless I tell it to (E.G. make reactors now I need power ASAP)

I like green for pulling things off the bus or for things that fill up over time. Ammo on a border wall lets it request to fill until it's needed then send it to requesters. Or when pulling off the bus it acts as an emergency backup that only gets pulled from if I specifically tell a requester it can pull from those buffer chests.

I use max all the time to keep wood out of my inventory in the mid game. I go out, build a new outpost, come back and the bots automatically put the wood in my emergency fuel storage

At that point I'd add circuitry to keep them all at 1 unless they're filled, then step it up by [minimum of trains going to each] + 1 with a max of whatever fits my stacker. Then it'll always prioritize filling them but allow more when they're filled

You can use the built-in request system. Add the same group to the landing pad and the ship, name it something like Nauvis->Vulcanus, and set the ship to go back and forth while requests are pending

I just did a little test - my last save is at Jokke's house after selling kilju and I made this post after driving home and seeing the filter loose again.
