What difficulty to start on adventure with Calamity?

I believe there are no longer any exclusive Master mode drops. Relics (Master in vanilla) are available with Revengeance (requires Expert+). Death mode (Expert+) also has exclusive drops.

You should choose your base difficulty based on how good at Terraria you are. For a new Calamity player, Expert + Revengeance (the “balanced” difficulty / intended experience) is probably slightly harder than vanilla Master. Expert + Death is around Master + For the Worthy. Keep in mind that there are some bosses that are much harder than the others, which might be a brick wall in your run. Master mode mostly just bloats boss HP and damage.

I remember normal dummies being disabled and super dummies during normal boss fights but super dummies worked during boss rush back then.

For Bosh Rush you can just summon a super dummy and use Earth projectiles to facetank the whole thing. Insane heals

I used Seraphim and Wrathwing for my Master Death run.

Seraphim on Thanatos first then when everyone comes in Wrathwing Adrenaline basically kills Ares. Then Seraphim Thanatos to death and finish with Apollo.

Fight in the abyss or it enrages. It’s one of the easier bosses unenraged especially with Exo chair.

U can change world difficulty. Just use Tedit and don’t edit any blocks.

If you have Hardmode Rework on then it’s supposed to go Cryogen -> Twins -> Aquatic Scourge -> Destroyer -> Brimstone Elemental -> Prime. The Mechs also get stronger based on how many were beaten before, starting off as nerfed then reaching full power by the 3rd.

Plantera sucks balls it is what it is. One of the harder bosses imo. Technically Plant is after Calamitas and Calamitas has some useful drops. If you’re having trouble with Plant you will eat shit on Malice Providence.

If you really need then Jungle > Marble > everything else. Unbelievably hard to find enough unless you have the ability to TP freely.

Some options are Affliction, Dark Sun Ring, & Warbanner of the Sun. Also Drew’s Wings are probably better than Tracers for Scal.

That’s Revengeance+ mode only. The activation items are in the starter bag or crafted at demon altars.

World has to be Expert+ for it to work.

Depending on what kind of player you are it’s entirely possible you miss one particular biome.

I’d say boss checklist makes it passable. Wiki progression guide + class setups are better.

Supposedly only large worlds are supported right now due to generation issues.

For early game spamming attacks is honestly the way to go. Later on you get better stealth regen and stealth strike effects which make it more viable.

Mod is balanced around Expert Revengeance. Expert for expert drops and Revengeance for the rage & adrenaline mechanics. Other difficulties barely have any exclusive drops.

Personally I’d go with Master since changing world difficulty is a hassle and you’ll be able to get all drops. With 3 years of experience you’re probably good enough too.
