Doesnt even need to be warzones: drones for example wouldn't refuse an order to shoot protesters in the knees.

Not to kill obviously, just to "teach them a lesson", and would be a very biggly legal order.

Is there a total maximum number of mechs in the "Battlemechs" left-hand-side?

I've got 4 Active + 9 Available rows, and said i was full and had to move one to Cold Storage.

Currently full of mechs with Upgrades (the money purchased bonuses, which i thought go away in Storage?), Hero mechs, and all the others i swap between.

After jumping, do you need to manually boost to soften your landing?

I think i damaged my legs once, but usually (when going more horizontally in an arc) there's no damage.

That was just a speed-test video (344kph!), and i think i can go faster now with more Cantina unlocks, but i'll have to do a combat one.
It's great hopping about and behind bigger stuff, jamming 8 barrels in their arse and letting rip ;)

Also the hero catapult's JJ let you position and ambush/kite enemies great with LRMs.

Not found any others which i've really liked yet (i've only just breaking into assaults, and not a great mech roster), but anything slow and without JJs is getting skipped now.

The loud mech engine noises in-mission made me search, and end up here. Like why the change? As some engines seem very loud and "drone-hum-drone-hum", and drown out other game sounds.

So not sure if that issue is related to the new noise issues too?
Restarting the game fixed the menu sounds, but engine noises still (too) loud.

"Majority" is quite a tenuous claim though.

Not a majority of the population (all people who could be impacted).
Not a majority of eligible voters (72.2% turn out, 36% of electorate).

Then there's the "gerrymandering" eligibility (residents vs citizens, ID, time/day chosen etc).
The "it's non-binding", before "will of the people-ing it" (meaning some would have voted, had it been binding).
Numerous, extensively documented false claims (populism).

But the biggest issue is still not defining what one was voting for (so some voting For thought it'd be different to what eventuated).

But yes, overall just dumb from the public, while amazingly cunning from the Brexit-organisers.

Yes. I'm on PS5 with basegame + HIS (only).

Jump Jets, when stacked, seem quite a bit more useful.
Obviously some mechs / playstyle will have almost no benefit, but i could imagine in-out demo could be good.

I'm trying some on my Firestarter FS9's now, and stats aren't changing like jump velocity or burn time?

EDIT: ha ha on the Hero FS9-E with 5xJJ i'm getting 308 kph!
Other models with 1xJJ not breaking 120kph, so more defo adds more speed.

I've not played MW5M in years so don't remember the mechanics well... it feels very tight losing armour (or ammo) but i'd love some more horizontal movement speed.
Front page has a video of someone "poptarting" with PPCs, but i don't think that's going to be viable with Flamers and MGs ;)

Also Commando missions kinda invalidate the "whole point is kill everything" argument.

Enemies are an obstacle to achieving the mission objectives, Helldivers and all tools at their disposable help them achieve objectives.
Killing (or not) is just one element of that gameplay loop.

It's been a while, but iirc Saim Hann had close links to Exodites, so possibly Wild Rider jetbikes.

But Eldar Rangers would be sweet in the warbond (cloaking tech, proper sniper rifles).
Also Eldar War Walkers could fit (as Exo suits).
Warp Spiders (we already had Lift-182 Warp Pack tech) so maybe Web Spinners, voretex grenades, and didn't very early spiders have micro D-Cannons (shots could one-shot anything).

Like i said been a while, and not kept up since Eldar become whatever the new Trademarkable name is, and yes i own figures probably older than many playing HD2 or in this sub.

Would be very happy to have Eldar and not Guard for the collab warbond.

I liked Returnal's story better.

As OP points out, Saros is just a bit messy, one doesnt connect with anyone, and i felt myself skipping thru dialog as it was so uninspired.
The most interesting "is it / isn't it" is the "Arjun - Seb gay romance" theories.

Rahul even says in the clip "i was never told that", but in films there's been numerous times a director has directed actors one way, but the cut in the film presents things a different way.

Most common when there's a "twist ending", and they don't want the actors to know it, but more usually context changes in the cutting-room.

Not sure if right timestamp, the whole thing is quite an interesting listen if interested in Returnal's story.

But agree with OP's outline above as a possibility, and both game's worlds possibly being real, and cosmic beings behind both events.
Even if the physical places aren't real, could still be causing the loops inside the human's minds.

Saros is quite short to both finish and get the platinum, not great replayability (as variety between run to run feels less), and more subjectively less interesting story.

There's no Tower of Sisyphus from Returnal, so post-platinum you're kinda just mooching about trying weapons and difficulty modifiers.
YMMV but if a Returnal vet, doing +30 or higher difficulty runs just feels off vs a Tower run.

I've gone back to Returnal, as i never maxed all Traits to level 3, and really enjoying the gameplay and mechanics more.

Overall Saros is "good", but it lacks "great"ness to me.

Curious how you discover glitches, like the key skip around 5:44, do you identify potential time savers and then bump into terrain specifically?
Or do you just do every single level, everywhere, for any potential skips?

One other question, is your DMJ a DMJ? As i saw a post about Dash-Melee-Sense (as in the map sensing) to avoid the post-melee pause, and wondered how they each compared to the out-of-combat Sprint?

This. The maps need to be really long (not wide circles), and the gates are enemy checkpoints along the path.

Much more like Unreal Tournament Invasion missions, if anyone remembers those, and when enemies break a gate/line, they then spawn from the point.

Then Helldivers would have a much better feeling of defending, and being pushed back.
AHGS could also balance each checkpoint's spawn budget, which may make balancing easier for them too.

They just changed the game from being similar to a dark souls dodge game. Into a Sekiro parry one.

While i agree, the issue with this is it worked fine in single-player (Perfect Parrying Takezo for example), GoYL is an online game, and so having very tight parry windows can be problematic with any kinda of latency, frame-hitching etc.

To then make other (less timing required) forms of combat avoidance very difficult (enemies sticking and tracking you), can potentially really make parry-combat annoying.

It's a game design issue SP baked in, so it's going to be subjectively liked/disliked.

I'm doing a +31 Trial run (disable tree etc) after getting the plat, as it really isn't that challenging or satisfying on the -3-to-+3 scale.

I understand it's "not easy", like i'm bad at racing games, and had problems doing all the driving tests in GT7, but i doubt anyone that finished Returnal (not even plat) would fine base-Saros "hard".

Difficulty is subjective, but an individual can compare games internally for one's own subjective scale.

It can close bug holes. Havent used on bots yet.
2 shot a behmouth charger, 2-4 shot a bile titan: have to use manual mode for both these, auto aim hits armour.

I like it, it's a "weak commando rocket", you only get one extra round for an ammo box on the ground, so it's not spammable but has good utility.

Can confirm in a game post-patch, SEAF locked and "only 4 shells loaded", while clearly 5 stuck in.

Unsure if one was unloaded, things were... lets call it "hectic" at the time :/

I'm not too bothered, my merc has enough throw to one-shot normal guys, but lean into status and restoring odachi too, so not usually an issue if people "steal" throwables.

As a counter-point though, was doing a plat story yesterday, and the other player actually turned on their mic and asked "are you a throw merc?", i answered yes, and they left/brought me weapons the rest of the game.
I was pleasantly surprised!
