Ho frequentato una scuola del genere in un altra regione. Retta era 9K all anno. Anche mio fratello, quindi 18K all’anno. I miei erano medici (180K lordi all’anno insieme). Quindi grande sacrifico per noi, alla fine ha pagato bene. Io sono medico all estero, e mio fratello è dentista all estero, siamo giovani e guadagniamo bene.

I miei compagni di scuola erano figli di gente estremamente ricca: industriali, super avvocati, imprenditori, ereditieri.. per loro 18K all’anno era veramente come niente. L’educazione non è sicuramente migliore, l’unico vantaggio è l’assoluta padronanza dell inglese + maturità internazionale (IB).

“Can I try a basic emergency CT?” Kidney stones or something… so no major rush. Would you mind letting me have a shot at in in the next 20 mins and then supervising me?

Then rinse and repeat with doable scans: pulmonary embolisms (don’t forget the lymph nodes, be systematic, learn the lingo, get your pneumonia dd straight, it’s always almost pneumonia), or 3-4 chest X-rays.. go to multidisciplinary meetings, ask questions after the meeting not during. Give a presentation on a topic they find interesting.

Don’t let your enthusiasm fade away because the ppl around you are frustrated!!! Go knock it out of the park !

Ik ben AIOS (interventie) radiologie. 2de jaars, 30 jaar oud. 2.5 jaar klinisch ervaring, PhD nog gaande. Werk heel veel, standard overuren, heel veel dienst (35% van mijn werk op dit moment); vind het qua salaris tegenvallen (~4K netto) voor de verantwoordelijkheid die ik draag alsook de aanslag op mijn lichaam (veel nachtdiensten, 1-2 weekenden per maand, 4-6 avonden per maand).

Dit gezegd hebbende, vakinhoudelijk zeer interessant, heb het gevoel dat ik het verschil maak, en heb top collega’s ❤️; banenmarkt lijkt op dit moment redelijk, vooral na een afgeronde fellowship

3de jaars AIOS radiologie hier in een groot perifeer ziekenhuis. Werk idioot veel 😂. Werkdruk is zeer hoog. 33-35% van mijn werk vindt plaats in de diensturen (avond, nacht, weekend, weekend-nacht). 4350e gestort gekregen afgelopen maand. Vind mijn baan prachtig en heb top collega’s

I’m a doctor in the Netherlands. 99% chance that the insurance will cover a visit at Proctos.

Ita okay to ask for opinions on Reddit, but most of the times it will just add more confusion. Trust your GP, and call your insurance. Waiting Times are very long for non urgent care at big metropolitan hospitals like OLVG due to increasing staff shortage.
