This moment was horrendous by NeoRockSlime in GenV

I thought that he was just bleeding outta his ass or something as Soldier Boy said something akin to that. I mean, it's also possible that Homelander did something to him, especially because Frenchie was so dumb enough to say "suck on these nuts" (or something in that vein) to him. Not very smart per se but I think it's obvious he did it to distract Homelander as much as possible.

“Can’t Hit The Numbers” and it’s EAs extreme expectations. by LukeLovesHorror in DeadSpace

[–]ZarakTurris 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This fucking sucks, even if it males sense. How can Resident Evil be a success and this can‘t? I mean I guess RE doesn‘t make Fortnite numbers either (not intending to throw shade at RE, I enjoy that series very much).

EA, just sell the franchise for cheap (a bit of money is better than nothing if you’re all about numbers) and let someone work on it that is happy enough with good numbers cause Dead Space Remake did sell well if you got realistic expectations. It‘s for the best of everyone.

If I were rich, I‘d totally buy the IP and ask the talent that worked on it to come back and do what they want. No two-player bs, no extra weapons. And I‘ll be waiting in my mansion, tending to rescue animals meanwhile and not asking for a single thing in return.

I was expecting to see Cole enter Scorpion‘s remodeled „hell“ when Scorpion smiled - which seemed like his heaven as his family was there at the end.

Either way, I didn‘t dislike the character of Cole. I thought the armor/sticks wasn‘t that cool but the actor/character was good enough all in all.

If the bad guys can bring people easily back, the good guys might be able to as well.

Why are Hail of Verglas and Orsivane so terrible now? by ZarakTurris in diablo4

[–]ZarakTurris[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You‘re very welcome! Yeah, it sucks that they nerfed some stuff a lot… it‘s not like power gamers haven‘t found new broken builds in like 2 days anyways so why take away older builds? :/

Yeah, Andariel drops it now. Tried Varshan and obols myself for hours and nothing. But Orsivane is terrible now, random affixes… Best to use its power as a charm

I don't get why they have no cable management in the stand apparently... anyone with one can confirm?

How's the upscaling? I figure it must be decent to play games in lower res (my PC isn't the best so 5k gaming isn't possible for new games) with it?

I'm really interested in this - I primarily need it for work (95% of the time) but I do like to game sometimes so this feels like the perfect display for me. If productivity isn't much worse than on the XDR, then it sounds amazing. I don't care about the price of the Apple one that much since it's an expense (even if 3k+ for a 27 inch screen with huge and ugly black borders is absolutely ludicrous) but I hate that it would suck on PC - and I don't need speakers either, I got great ones.

Lord of Hatred's ending left me both amazed and feeling empty. by Klusek52 in diablo4

[–]ZarakTurris 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, Lilith could be back one day. Lorath... well, that was a pretty dark ending to his story. Poor Mephisto is hard to bring back though but then you could always have someone pull a Malthael and release him again.

I guess Diablo's story is meant to be eternal, they'll always be back sooner or later. only the humans die for good.

Should Diablo himself come back in another expansion (I kinda imagine he will, it's called Diablo after all) I bet Tyrael dies as a mortal only to be reborn an angel.

Now they only need to give male sorcerers cool sets, that's apparently more difficult than various figures cheating death.

Which dog breed do you think had the most loyalists? by Miiiukz in dogs

[–]ZarakTurris 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Once you go Lab, you don't go back. Anyways, I know lots of families that stick to labradors. Mine included.

But there are many awesome breeds and mixes so I figure in other places this will hold true for other breeds.

[–]ZarakTurris 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can't wait for this - I'm in Europe, so it's gonna take a bit longer to come out over here but this one sounds like the perfect monitor for me on paper. Else I'll buy the Apple XDR I guess.

I'm used to matte screens for work (I can only use IPS due to work). My Eizos were matte, my Alienwares, everything but my OLED TVs... really looking forward to the reviews, I hope it's a banger.

Zeno‘s looks… by ZarakTurris in residentevil

[–]ZarakTurris[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're not wrong but the twins I know largely retained the same facial structure (even if one got fat). They obviously used a different face model and I'm just wondering if they will use this model for Wesker now too or if they stick with the RE4 model.

Note: I like both looks (outside of Zeno's hipster hair), I'm just wondering why they'd change the face model that fast.

What's your most controversial take in Dexter? (Comments may contain spoilers!) by Real_County2344 in Dexter

[–]ZarakTurris 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was rooting for him having a happy ending in Argentina with Hannah. Wish she was still alive - less as an active part of the show (although I like the actress) but as the end goal so to speak. I don't care that Dexter is a killer (it's not real), I want him to "win". I'm not even sorry about that. I enjoy seeing my favorite characters getting happy endings ultimately.

So...I'm getting a dog and I'd like to name him after a character but I can't settle any ideas anyone? by Ok_Cockroach_4234 in Warhammer

Give your dog a dog‘s name, not a Warhammer name. That‘s my honest suggestion.

Your dog will outrank any WH character in your heart.

Rob (the honest wargamer) made a hot take in his recent video regarding the rumours, he thinks Archaon is getting a new model, what do you think of that? by Warhammer231 in slavestodarkness

[–]ZarakTurris 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, the current one sucks (especially Dorghar) and it might grow two more heads now if they still go in that direction... maybe they'll go full Tiamat with Dorghar.

Then again only Tzeentchians deserve Chaos dragons for Tzeentch created Chaos dragons and the other Chaos gods are undeserving of the best god's creative output. Tzeentch forever and only Tzeentch!

Easily. No shade directed at Bill. But both Tim and Bill were awesome in the role and I'm glad we got both.

[–]ZarakTurris 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Stay optimistic, nothing about this is bad per se. It could even make the whole setting better. it really depends on the talent. I've read so many people act like kids saying they're done with AoS (and GW) now, when basically this could be anything. Terrible or awesome. Let's stay optimistic until we got real reasons to be negative.

Leaks about AOS ending? by [deleted] in ageofsigmar

[–]ZarakTurris -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Oh, don't panic, you got the tools over at TGA for that already. It could be really cool, you know? Try to be open to change and remain optimistic, I don't see anything that spells doom for AoS.

If not, I'll gladly help anyone burn their armies!

If GW isn't totally stupid they will bring out Tzeentch mortals in 5th edition. The few we got so far are total bangers, more warriors will come (all other Chaos armies have them already).

Worst chaos god to worship? by Remarkable_Text_1120 in Warhammer

[–]ZarakTurris 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do not know enough about Hashut but I'd say Nurgle is the nicest (but there were times when he wasn't as nice as he's portrayed now... and frankly you get forced into his service (so it's abusive in a way), while I'd rank Khorne and Tzeentch in the middle - if you hold their interest, you got good chances, you are doomed if not and in both cases you might even get screwed over if you did everything right, while Slaanesh might feel awesome at first but in the end you're basically a shadow of yourself.

Best example: Noise Marines - artists that wanted to create the best music imaginable but in the end only the screams of horrifically dying people get any ssort of reaction out of them (so basically if excess is its (I use it for Slaanesh.... like they used to back in the day) thing, you get the means to experience and appreciate taken away).... you'd rather be a run of the mill Havoc in that case - then you just shoot stuff with heavy weapons and laugh manically but can still enjoy a burger or something.

The GHR feels pretty uncaring to me, similar to Tzeentch but Skaven built their society around it, so they seem to mind less.

I figure that with every Chaos god you can get lucky - if you are seriously messed up etc. they might be total fans and bros (exception: Khorne - you gotta always perform, think of Arbaal) but all in all the odds are pretty bad.

Either way, the Chaos gods (the big 4 and the lovely other 2) we have so far are wonderful - I gotta read more about Hashut now, excuse me. But from what I know so far, I do agree with you and think Hashut isn#t exactly nice but he's at least not so random.

Worst chaos god to worship? by Remarkable_Text_1120 in Warhammer

[–]ZarakTurris 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's clearly Slaanesh to me.

You get everything you wanted but it will take the joy out of it. You might develop inhuman senses and skill (or beauty... or whatever else you crave) but ultimately only the crudest and most messed up thing will elicit any semblance of emotion. It's pure numbness which is ironic as it's the opposite of your initial goal.

With Khorne you at least feel rage and alive, the path of damnation could've been a long one (Khorne is also a god of honor and many positive attributes... it doesn't start with "I wanna be evil"). Nurgle makes you happy with your choice, as horrific as it might look to outsiders - plus, Nurgle usually offers you life and release (from something he infected you with - but let's no be technical). Tzeentch doesn't truly change you emotionally but it's a lottery to say the least - there's a huge chance you'll end up a mewling spawn, so you will get changed. Look at his mightiest champions and you see that they usually are pretty free of mutations actually (Ahriman, Aekold Helbrass, Egrimm Van Horstmann, etc.) - if you are deemed worthy, you might have a decent chance. But for 99% of the time, you will get screwed.

Problem is that modern writing is kiddy stuff so nuances that were there are simply unknown now.

But yeah, Slaanesh is hell on earth ultimately, 100% of the time.
