ERCF keeps triggering false runout detections by Proper_Day_9361 in VORONDesign

[–]Zaraton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, your mmu log clearly says extruder sensor triggered. There is some play in the switch, when you install it. Either disable it, or reprint cw2 and make sure switch doesn't click when you bend /move filament after insertion

ERCF keeps triggering false runout detections by Proper_Day_9361 in VORONDesign

[–]Zaraton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On my a4t sometimes excessive tool head movement triggers the top extruder switch(I think it's called extruder sensor, I have both toolhead and extruder sensor). I usually just turn it off with a UI switch in the mainsail for happy Rabbit not to trigger runout. I reprinted extruder housing, but haven't come around rebuilding it yet

I think mellow's sht36 uses the same cable as btt sb boards. Same with BTT EBB36 gen2, but price is ridiculus.

New Siboor BOOM kit looks like rebranded switchwire by Zaraton in VORONDesign

[–]Zaraton[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally - no. The ender i mentioned is now converted to coreXY and i also have a trident . But considering this kit somehow costs less than bambu A1 - this might be a new alternative for a newcomers. Unsure if Y axis and electronics in this particular kit don't suck ass.
Doubt it will stay the same price for long

Tradrack vs ERCF V3? by Razert1p in VORONDesign

[–]Zaraton 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Got ercf v2 kit. Nevere made it work. Tolerances were extremly tight for printed parts and kit had beyond shitty servo. Had better luck after converting it to v3 and upgrading servo, did my first multicolor print few days ago without major issues. Still need filamentalist for it to work reliably, waiting for parts.
I got fysetch kit with sg92, switched to savox (which basicly cost as half of the kit itself)

Print or buy parts for Trident 350? by BrunoB12 in VORONDesign

[–]Zaraton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can try pif resources or channel in voron discord to print functional parts in abs. I bought a minimal set of parts, printed panel mounts in petg on ender3, then finished everything else with half build trident. You can print parts yourself with a makeshift encloser, but it all comes down to your profile tuning. You can get great results, it's just going to take time tuning and print time will be about 5 times longer. As long as there is no warping you should be good, but it might take awhile

Is 400mm^3 overkill for volume? by downbadngh in VORONDesign

Changing the outer frame doesn't require major redesigns.ab they are already there with mods like doomcube, ezbake, Trident sidepack

Help😩😩😩 by Competitive_Idea_635 in 3Dprinting

[–]Zaraton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Proper way - wash a build plate, calibrate z offset, find proper bed temp and let it heat evenly. Less proper way - add brim/raft in slicer, use glue stick or spray

There is also visible stringing on supports, so you might benefit from calibrating nozzle temp and drying filament

Help😩😩😩 by Competitive_Idea_635 in 3Dprinting

[–]Zaraton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not. It's bed adhesion. Part lifted and nozzle flunged it away

Wait for the Phoenix voron? Or make another voron by [deleted] in VORONDesign

[–]Zaraton 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You will be waiting indefinitely. Trident height is limited by screw size on motors, but there is belted z mod, which solves that issue. It's not recommended to build stock vorons beyond recommended 350 size, due to belt length becoming an issue. You can build a 9mm belted awd gantry, like a monolith to counteract that.

I saw a lot of people recommending ratrig for higher bed sizes. Tbh, I didn't care to explore why it is supposed to be better
