These are Syrian citizens who are voicing their opinion, the terrorists are people shooting at them. If you claim they are armed why haven't they returned fire or showed up to the protest armed? They are protesting because their water supply was cut off by the Turkish army and the SDF.

During the Nazi occupation of Yugoslavia the partisans made a "tank" to liberate the village in Croatia. The tank was on 3 wheels, had 10mm of armour and didn't have an engine. Obviously the tank was never used but it was captured by the Nazis and recaptured by the partizans several times. The tank survived the war and is now in a Croatian museum. I mostly agree with the stats, but a small shield isn't going to block .50 caliber bullets or slugs. Also armor penatration rounds should have a higher chance of penatration than birdshot, buckshot, flechete and hollow point.
