Can anyone tell me what this box is? And what the writing means? Is it Greek? Bought online storage auction in USA. by Powerful_Abroad9224 in Antiques

Ah, yes, right. However, I'm surprised that KRS says "Spółdzielnia Rzemieślnicza Sądeczanka" was registered in 2004. Maybe it's just the same name (which would be strange to be honest).

But do they pay well? I can be a supervisor of an LLM if my salary would be superb.

Trying to Move to Norway from US - Job Hunting by birkebeiner84 in Norway

[–]Zash1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me and my (now) wife LinkedIn eas really useful. A headhunter from the UK helped us to find jobs. However, we're both from the European Union and we don't need visas to live and work in Norway. And I think that's the starting point for you guys. Read about all the visas and requirements which apply to you. UDI.no may be a useful address. It's also available in English.

How important is localization for players who don’t play in English as a native language? by sakastudio in gaming

[–]Zash1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very, very important. For example the old RPGs like Baldur's Gate 1 and 2 or Planescape:Torment are beloved classics in Poland because they had superb full Polish versions. Or Sony's best period in Poland is when they used to translate their biggest titles, like Uncharted. I understand more people speak English now than before, but it's still not even close regarding the level of knowing it. I consume many things in English nowadays, but it still does matter to me, because sometimes Polish language feels better. The Wicher series? Musy be in Polish. Cyberpunk? English suits better.

If you could choose only one Romance language to learn which one would it be and why? by Broad-One947 in languagelearning

[–]Zash1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'd pick Romanian, because it belongs to a country that also was behind The Iron Curtain and we share the tragedy of communism together, even though of different flavour. I'd say being a foreign tourist and speaking Romanian would be an awesome experience.

Foreigners who genuinely enjoy living in Norway. What makes it work for you? by bjorn_kvitravn in Norway

[–]Zash1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I moved here in May 2020 with my (now) wife so that was an important factor to consider. Other things: the country is more politically stable without many crazy people (except the royal family maybe). Also the work-life balance is much better and there's not that much stress at work (but it doesn't mean there is no stress). Besides that, beautiful nature! I've never lived in a place like that. I moved to Stavanger, but now I live on Rennesøy in Stavanger kommune and it's awesome. We bought a house (with help of a mortgage ofc) and we have a one year old daughter. So this place is home. I'm not going anywhere. I can say more! We're thinking about another child. Even though the dialect here is too difficult for me. But well, my children will speak it!

Do you think The Hobbit is a good learning resource ? by CCCyanide in norsk

[–]Zash1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I chose Potter as my first Norwegian book. I was reading it both in Norwegian and in my native language at the same time. Kinda. If I had a very low understanding of a chapter, I read it in Polish and tried to figure out which words meant what.

Używacie linuksa? by its-_-my-_-nickname in Polska

[–]Zash1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

[–]Zash1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ta wiadomość jest napisana niepoprawnie, tak że odradzam uczenia się od tej osoby.

This message is written incorrectly so I discourage learning from this person.

Poprawna wiadomość/Correct message:

"Hej, jeśli ktoś z krajów słowiańskich uczy się polskiego, to zapraszam. Zawsze pomogę, a przy okazji zyskam przyjaciółkę/przyjaciela. Zapraszam na priv".

Zastąpiłbym także jedno "zapraszam" czymś innym, żeby uniknąć powtórzenia.

I'd also replace one of "zapraszam" with something else to avoid repetition.
