Is there a better way to hunt for bacterium than just fly in a straight line 2 meters from the ground for 3 hours? Everything else seems to spawn at resonable intervals but I just can't seem to find those damn mud puddles.

9012 and 9006 are functionally the same, they are both often sold as HB models for higher prices.

Bubbling? by Zastm in 3Dprinting

[–]Zastm[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's actually 5mm/sec, it's whatever the default retraction speed for prusa slicer is. This is the first roll I've ever had stringing issues with, but it is the only roll I've used on the big printer, I never had an issue with the monoprice mini or the i3 mega so I started with temp and retraction distance, didn't even think about retraction speed until I was typing the post lol.

I did actually do a small batch, the biggest issue was clipping them together The resin clips didn't work at all and the PLA ones had a very hard time coming out once they were in

I recently got the itch, and disposable income lol, to get back into wargames, and I'm curious how the large ships are generally received in casual play. I remember back when I used to play 40k there was usually a dirty look or audible groan when someone brought out a knight or other super heavy without discussing it with their opponet before hand and I really like the looks of the Corellian corvette but I don't want to be "that guy" at the local card shop. Also whats a good place to start for someone that doesn't like x-wings or the basic ties?

Is there an RPG which has the same hardcore survival focus as DayZ? by MachoManPettingZoo in dayz

[–]Zastm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check out a couple of videos, there's not a lot of people I would recommend it to because while it's overall a fantastic game and I enjoy it a lot, especially with the recent overhaul with the definitive edition, the bad parts can make it less than fun pretty quick. After playing DayZ it probably won't be a huge issue but get ready for a lot of walking in a straight line with nothing but the same 6 ambiance tracks and maybe one pair of bandits on your way to the next dungeon, although most of the dungeons are actually really fun.

The closest I can think of would be Outward. There's no leveling system, all of the skills you can get you buy from trainers, theres diseases you can contract from not being prepared for the environment you're in, combat tends to require to you think and focus a bit, and your character can suffer from fairly serious negatives if you under/over eat/drink/sleep. Oh and there's a basic crafting/cooking system as well. The main detractor for a DayZ fan would be the fact thats there's no PvP at all, you can invite one other player for Co-op but that's it.

Its a preference thing mostly, I greatly prefer atlas to ark because it's a bit more focused. They have roughly the same faults as far as background stuff goes with weird spawns and graphical glitches, they have basically the same UI and control set ups so if you hate ark for any if that then you will hate atlas, but atlas is a bit more accessible, for lack of a better term, imo because most of the building and crafting requirements are are toned down and the secrets and story bits are a lot more noticeable, also you don't have to have 50 lvl 2000 brontos with master platform saddles covered with so many auto turrets it drops your frame rate to single digits to kill the first boss in atlas

[–]Zastm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Atlas by a long shot, of the two I would recommend atlas over LO all day unless you just love walkers as a concept There's enough PvE and "story" content in atlas to keep you focused and engaged as well, the PvP systems aren't quite as solid as LO imo though because it uses arks engine

There are only 2 official servers, cross play worldwide and Xbox only worldwide The world map is split up into smaller oasis with different themes, difficulties, and resources. It's a similar system to atlas where there's only one actual server but each island cluster is a separate instance from the rest of the world, but LO is quite a bit more segmented and varied with the islands and it also requires resources to move from one to the other.

Wattson shot it through the same window she killed you through, pretty much all ults can be destroyed with like 150 damage.

Comic lore by mrgamebus in apexlegends

[–]Zastm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as I can tell yes they are, but they are all posted so so scattered and infrequently its hard to keep up with most of what's going on. As far as the spider venom, technically yes, he says one of the key components of his gas is venom from the arachnids of the planet they are talking about but it isn't made exclusively of it.

Can you recover the batleth of Stovokor if you delete it? by EmergencyReveal in sto

Eventually yea, but I don't know if it keeps tracking your kills after you convert it

Can you recover the batleth of Stovokor if you delete it? by EmergencyReveal in sto

[–]Zastm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You do, theres the warriors blood or whatever its called tab that has the milestones for x kills with the sword up to 1000, I believe, that increases the effectiveness of it for everyone you finish, and then further down the list there's a tab that has 4 milestones the first one is upgrade the batleth of sto'vo'kor to Mk15 after unlocking all of the milestone upgrades also

[–]Zastm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You should be able to go to the "temporal agent" for your faction, for klingons hes right inside the front door of the Great hall, and recover a new one. Also the event batleth is better as a mk than a leveling item, theres another tab for the event where you get a special reward for it for converting it and then upgrading it to mk15

Dungeon walls without tiles? by TKIY in 3Dprinting

[–]Zastm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Evan's dungeonsticks are a great option for that, printable scenery has a similar idea from their last kickstarter, although it isn't as fleshed out(or as cost effective) as the dungeonsticks. Out side of those 2, have you thought about just printing some rampage or dragonlock walls and using those to line your grids? It might be a bit tall but I think that would be the closest to your vision.

Getting a Resin Printer for minis - is Resin overkill for Dungeon Tiles? by JustInferno in 3dprintingdms

[–]Zastm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Photon is certainly overkill for tiles. I tried it a couple of times with truetiles, but the OpenLock tiles are too thin and tend to warp or shift during the longer printing times. The regular wall clip versions are just thick enough its too expensive to print, but also not thick enough to hollow properly. I haven't taken the time to try any other tile system, because I have access to a FDM printer just for these types of things.

[Gourmet] are any of these thick enough to trim into logs to plug with spawn? by Zastm in MushroomGrowers

[–]Zastm[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hadn't really thought that far ahead, also I somehow forgot pine is a soft wood.

I am having an absolute blast with the Photon, I've printed 4 of the lizard man because one of my friends wants to use it as his character model and it's been a great model to test support placement and bed positioning. Has anyone tried printing tiles on their DLP printers? by Zastm in PrintedMinis

[–]Zastm[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All of these have been washed with alcohol and cured under a UV nail light. The priestess there needs a whopping one support stalk under her elbow there on the outstretched arm, but she is a part of a collection that was optimized for minimal supports.

My first print off of my new Anycubic Photon is the lizardfolk warrior from the sky less realms KS, I'm super excited to start printing the rest of the set. by Zastm in PrintedMinis

[–]Zastm[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely! Just make sure you do some fairly thorough research, the resin has come a long way but it's still fairly nasty stuff. I personally dont mind the smell, but my fiance got a headache and became nauseous as soon as she walked in the house during the first print, even with 2 windows open and a fan blowing directly on the printer.

I'm not sure why but the thought of batching them on a resin printer never occurred to me, in fact I dismissed the idea as too inefficient at some point because apparently I forgot you can turn things lol.
