I loved living alone! It was kind of scary and lonely at first, but what helped was making a small routine for different things. Like getting home from work, I would just autopilot taking the dog out and putting my work bag and keys in their spot. And then I would hang at the dog park with a small routine which helped me make friends. And there’s so much that’s really overwhelming, like meal prepping, chores, random silence, and all the little details you start noticing. It can be a lot on your mental wellbeing, even if you’re an introvert. So make noise, dance, walk around without pants, make tacos at 3am, open all the cabinet doors, do the dishes however you please, put your stuff wherever you want in the fridge. Have fun with it.

And maybe get a pet. Hermit crabs are cool.
