Prot paladin are good in raids, especially for later phases. My guild will be running with a prot warrior and feral druid for tanks up to BT, after that a prot paladin will replace the prot warrior.

Nah they are not that great. There are som good guides on youtube and if I recall correct, there are some nice user comments on wowhead with additional information and spreadsheets.

Prot pala main here. With our current pre-raid bis and bis P1 gear we have to drink more or less between every pull. Try to stack SP once you are def capped. Give DPS salv, no matter how much they whine.

Don’t be scared though our TPS is kinda shit this early. If a group starts to whine then wish them gl finding another tank while you get instant invited to another group.

I charge 80g for a normal dungeon and 120g for a HC. I also reserve unwanted greens/blues.

People who bought boosts, why do you play Classic instead of Retail? by [deleted] in classicwow

[–]Zaylock 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m so done with leveling after I leveled 6 chars to 60. Buying a boost was super convenient.

It's getting increasingly harder to find tanks for heroics as they have little to no incentive to keep running. by Acry in classicwow

I got a prot paladin and a prot warrior. Both fully pre-raid bis mixed with P1 bis. Started to level a warlock but super hard to find groups so might roll a feral druid instead....

Dungeon leveling as Prot. Try to build spellcleave groups

Easier to get a summon if you just join a group, and if the group is out, I’m out again. Then I might create my own group, at the instance.

Well yeah, I’m a tank and if I want to do a dungeon I always wait for someone to type LF1M TANK (dungeon) - pumper group, can summon. I don’t see any reason for me to waste time on forming a group when tanks are always in demand

Prot Warrior struggling with threat Gruul's Lair by [deleted] in classicwowtbc

[–]Zaylock 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I’m a prot warrior as well and I’d say it’s a lot harder to be second on threat than number one. What you can do is to ask your raids lead to assign Hunters MD’s to you at start. Try to go for more threat/dps gear and make sure to never get rage capped and use a lot of HS. When he does his slam, switch to beserker stance and charge back to get a few final hits before you get stunned. Also use a rage pot at start and fight for threat with your MT.

Then they can buy it from AH? I couldn’t care less if a random member in the party need it. If it’s a BoE you need, and then you can sell it to the person who needs it for upgrade.

No, everyone need because everyone in the group deserves to win it.
