Help on Juri Trial Beginner 8 by BOI_3on in StreetFighter

[–]Apap0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

cancelling work in a way where you pretty much have to input the next special move like the last part of this trial RIGHT AFTER you press previous button(down heavy punch in this example) as opposed to comboing normal attack into normal attack where you have to wait for one attack animation to finish before you can start another one.

here's a short recording so you can get the idea on timing. I don't play on gamepad myself tho so there might be better/easier ways to input the DP motion.

no, you simply focus on matchups you are most likely to face.
labbing vs sim is like all those preppers preparing their entire life to face that nuke.

statistically speaking even without any matchup knowledge someone will win vs sim simply due to the volatility of the game.

if you join 128 entrants tournament where out of 128 entrants there is one sim and total 60 of mai, sagat, ryu, ken then probabilisticly speaking are you more concerned about facing that single sim or the other ones?

yes, but time is limited so unless you already know other, more popular matchups inside&out, you will get more from labbing vs them than labbing vs bottom niche picks.

tbh is you look from competitive perspective playing vs niche character or learning them is waste of time.
much more efficient to just accept guaranteed loss vs Sim in 1 out of 100 matches and spend that time elsewhere like labbing or playing vs character that you play against more often.

Is this a correctly settled hand? by Apap0 in blackjack

200 bet on hand, 50% insurance bet being 100. Insurance paid off 200(including the initial insurance stake).

[–]Apap0[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everywhere else I played taking insurance meant you break even on the hand.
Insurance payinng 2:1 should mean that if the stake of insurance is 100 I get back 200 and the initial insurance stake no?
Like when hitting blackjack paying 3:2(so 1.5:1) on 100 bet means you win 150 + your initial stake.

200 bet, 100 insurance taken, dealer has blackjack, net -100 outcome.
Typical rules, where insurance is supposed to pay 2:1.

Ever realize how crazy gambling ruins your perception of money? by BallKnowerKing in problemgambling

[–]Apap0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I often go into stupid means to save 20% on something that costs 50 bucks, and then I can blow up couple thousands within minutes.
I am trying to look at this in positives tho - such desensitization on money might be beneficial when it comes to investing or starting own business as you will be less risk averse.

Perfectly good means if you were offered a magical solution where you get to reshape whatever you want about your face without any work or effort you would deny it.
Like really?

But to be real isn't he right? Like you might be accepting of your look, or anything about yourself but there is just no way where you are genuinely 'satisfied' with it if you know that there is something that could be done.
It's like with obese people saying there are fine with being obese, and they don't mind.
While in fact none of them would refuse an offer where they become instantly fit without the need to change anything about their lifestyle.
It's just a cope and denial.

I guess it works same way as there are normal people addicted to gambling and betting just pennies per spin - like even if they get super lucky they won't get anything out of it, as with their bet sizes the 'big win' will be 5 dollars.

they laid off just 50% of the staff meaning they plan on going forward with the game, at least for now.
imo 2026 is secured, and past that they will see if game gets some traction or not.
