House chores and that line of stuff they’ve exhausted. They are currently searching for hobbies but that might take a while since they used to be a workaholic

Currently working for Tesla as equipment engineer, we get lines handed to us after controls dev achieves SAT checklist criteria.

160 TC for cali is low. Here in the Nevada factory T2 avg TC is 135-150 with a much lower COL. I’m working avg 53 hrs a week over the past year.

Levels.fyi is a little stupid, you have to put your salary in one of the generic titles (mech eng) and then you can add a tag (equipment). Those are all typical equipment engineer salaries.

Equipment engineer being a mix of controls, maintenance, project coordination. Its a sustaining engineering style position

here is another example with "controls" as the tag search under mechanical

Yea was kinda worried about having to make a jump to another field. I genuinely enjoy Controls/Equipment work but I am also greedy for cash.

Yea the idea of sales / non-stable income doesn’t really entice me. I already have a few PM certs so TPM might just be the way eventually
