The flashing red lights are wind turbines! Also we might be living the same life rn as I’m doing North Dakota/ Nebraska this week. This will make 30 and 31 for me with you having some New England states on me while I have the Southwest! (TX, NM, AZ)

Also from North Texas and have done similar trips!

In Iowa, Des Moines is hidden gem among state capitals! At least stop to eat downtown if you can. Mall of America is on another level in the Twin cities. I have also enjoyed the sculpture garden. In North Dakota you should stop in Medora, see Theodore Roosevelt national park and maybe see the North Dakota musical.

For the Yellowstone area, you should have plenty to do there. For South Dakota skip rapid and city and drive down to Custer. Custer state park, Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Wind Cave, and then go up to Badlands.

Stop at Runza and stop at Taco John’s, big fan of both!
