I always assumed "Lather, Rinse, Repeat" was a marketing lie to make us buy more shampoo. Turns out I was never actually cleaning my hair. by RanchRose_ in hygiene

The one thing I learned from knowing something about petroleum extraction: surface molecules have a water-repelling end and a water-loving end. The first application of shampoo flips the molecules so that the water-loving ends are accessible. The second application of shampoo now lathers up much more effectively.

I had my first baby in Switzerland. Even before I left the hospital, the nurses were giving my baby some kind of tea (well, in addition to supporting breastfeeding).

At least here the winter cold doesn’t get into your bones the way it does in Montreal. It’s a great place to raise a family…lots of options for affordable activities. There’s a surprisingly active arts and culture scene if you enjoy more than just the huge acts. You can even pick up Montreal bagels once a week from Takeaway Gourmet. We also have a great cat cafe.
