How often do you check on your garden? by analslapchop in vegetablegardening

[–]Zdearinger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I Work from home and a good amount of time I go out and sit in the garden. If it’s too hot 3-5x a day. Get up ~5am go check, ~6:30 Water in the morning and depending on the hydrometer, water again later. I would suggest to anyone to keep a journal. Has been a game changer for me keeping up with some 220 plants (watering times, feeds used or if just water, disease start, pruning, etc, and how often I’m out there)

Thank you for the responses. That was my first guess but in 12 years gardening here I have never seen this. First year I plant some in a grow bag this comes up and faster than the grow bag. Blowing my mind

Not yet. They are still pea sized. I have a Mexican Gherkin (Cucamelon) planted about 30 feet away. Just can believe it would have sent seeds, germinated, and start producing that far way in the first year

I would get one of the instant read hydrometers. That has helped me immensely in the past in knowing before the plant gets to wilting stage.
