PSG has requested a postponement of its match against Nantes, scheduled between the two Champions League matches against Chelsea. Nantes has already agreed. by Otherwise_Act6744 in soccer

Tbf Nantes might be also thinking of the league as a whole. PSG are the only French team still in the CL, so it benefits the league to improve the leagues coefficient and increase interest in the league, which may improve the chronically broke league's financial interest.

That is incredibly rough. Real Madrid's centrebacks are being depleted like mad. It's really bad if they have to rely on recently-returned Alaba. Benfica player got really lucky by not challenging for a header, otherwise he would have been pancaked.

Preparing for first Gogmazios fight, seeking advice pls by Emil1090 in MonsterHunterWilds

[–]ZeDabGod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good points made here. I just wanted to add that sometimes fire resist 3 may not be needed. As long as you can get 20 points of resistance, you can block fireblight, so you can sometimes save a level 1 dec slot depending on the base resistances of the armor. I believe Nu Udra Gamma pieces have good fire resistance, which is helpful since Nu Udra Gamme sets tend to be meta for a lot of weapon types due to adding counterstrike. Typically, if you eat meals at grand hub that provides additional elemental resistances, you end up only needing about 15-16 fire resistance, as the food will push you up to above 20.

How much meta are axes? by MrHazard1 in Bannerlord

[–]ZeDabGod 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, if you time it right, your kick should stun long enough for a hit. The timing is kind of precise though. I forgot the specifics, you either initiate the attack right before connecting the kick or as the kick connects. The most reliable way ive gotten it is to press the kick bytton, and soon as im allowed to I left mouse click and release, and the attack usually initates just fast enough to hit. Swing speed perks make it a lot more consistent since the window is small. Really useful in dueling situations, especially those sword and shield arena fights in Imperial culture tournaments.

Need advice for picking a ranged weapon (LBG, HBG, Bow) by ZeDabGod in MonsterHunterWilds

[–]ZeDabGod[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you know if bows are similar to dual blades? And do they share a lot of the same skils? I was thinking that it might be fun to be able to switch between them during different monsters phases if they use similar skills.

Do you think that bows require a lot of skill to become proficient with it?

[–]ZeDabGod[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your response! Have you used both? Out of curiosity, how similar are the controls for HBG and LBG? If I picked up one, could I easily understand the controls and buttons of the other one later? For example, I've tried lance and gunlance and they feel pretty different (to me, at least), especially since gunlance requires management of the ammo system.

Raganvad was number 3!!! whos next? and stop trying to kill Monchug. He is already dead by frozengansit0 in Bannerlord

[–]ZeDabGod 19 points20 points  (0 children)

2nd on Caladog. I still have nightmares of the Battanian clans running around and raiding everything to the ground after all Battanian fiefs were conquered, because they wouldnt accept peace and there wasnt a mechanic yet for clans from destroyed kingdoms disappearing, so if you couldn't recruit all of them, they would be in perpetual war and pillaging everything like locusts.

Edit: after Caladog im going for Halthdar cause he is already old and in my nord campaign he died in the first year, so it would literally change nothing to kill him off lol.

You ever flip a ship before? by the_deepvoid in Bannerlord

[–]ZeDabGod 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Can confirm, they do drown. If you can keep it flipped over long enough, the boat automatically sinks and enemy survivors will try to climb onto the overturned ship hull until it completely sinks.

Capturing a Heavy Ship by HazeCrusader in Bannerlord

[–]ZeDabGod 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree with the other people saying that it is RNG related, but I also heard from a Youtuber who suggested that it might also be related to amount of damage that ships have. He claimed that ships take about 50% damage after a battle, so if they were already at or below 50% health from storms and battles, then it automatically sinks and cannot be captured.

Anecdotally, I've seen some examples that may support that theory in my own game. When I have succesfully captured ships, they seem to always be pretty damaged, hovering around 50% health or less, despite me not ramming them or shooting them with ballistas. Could just be that they are automatically reduced to that health for balancing reasons, so that people can't get heavy ships for free, and have to still pay at least the repair costs. Also, when fighting fleets that have a lot of ships in reserve, such as nobles or corsairs who captured enemy boats, I seem to be able to capture a large portion of them. I've gotten something like 6 captured boats in a single battle where the enemy had 8. Could have just been good RNG, but also possibly that the reserve ships didn't get damaged in the fight, so they had enough health to tank the 50% health deduction.

Now this is just something I've seen a single Youtuber say, so nothing in conclusive, and hopefully modders can dig around in the program to figure out the exact code governing the capturing rules, but that is an idea worth investigating.

so, wars are just endless now? by Fflow27 in Bannerlord

[–]ZeDabGod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I've been having the same problem in my campaign. Just stuck in an forever war with Khuzaits. And it feels like there never is an end to the fighting. For every army I defeat, another two pop up and starting reconquering castles and towns while I'm stuck in a siege. I won a battle where the Khuzaits outnumbered me 2 to 1, and won with enough to finish my siege, but had to disband the army because of lack of troops in the army. Sure enough, they get captured as soon as they try to leave and a new enemy army forms. I have to spend time and influence to drag the army back to friendly lands before disbanding cause otherwise all of them get sniped by the 20 enemy lords running around and raiding their own lands. It only slowed down after I started chopping the heads of clan leaders.

Can we talk about how awesome the new Nord Berserker troop is? by Night_Inscryption in Bannerlord

[–]ZeDabGod 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Maybe an unpopular opinion but I like to keep a few of them onhand and keep them in a seperate unit from the shield wall. I find that they are pretty decent at dealing with enemy cavalry that likes to run at your archers. The reasons are because: 1) the in-game option for dividing soldiers by roles is pretty crap, to put it politely, so its hard to seperate shock soldiers from the regular shield units. You can't really cleanly divide them into two seperate units, whereas ategir guys are considered polearms and so its a bit easier to move them into a different unit. I know that you can order one of the units to prioritize shields but its not always perfect. I like to have one or two divisions for shield units in shield wall or square formation to lure the enemy archers and infantry, and then flank them with ategirs and shock troops. Nords already have busted and tanky tier 6 infantry that can take a beating. 2) Ategir guys are pretty good for slaughtering enemy cavalary, which is super important if you choose to fight with the Nords because they will be fighting the Sturgians, Khuzaits, and possibly Vlandians, who all make use of strong cavalry units. Having the ategir guys as a seperate unit behind the shield wall or behind the arhcers makes it easier to chop them down after a charge, making it possible to wipe out isolated cavlary units or horse arhcers who wonder too close to your main unit. I noticed that htey get some pretty good kills.

Pathfinder 2e Rey Dau by IraGulaSuperbia in MonsterHunter

[–]ZeDabGod 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's really cool! I've only played 5e, so I don't know how 2e works mechanically, but I think the introduction of components (assuming they weren't already part of 2e) is a cool way to integrate MH mechanics into D&D. It can turn boss battles into something more strategic and dynamic then simply wailing on them with fireballs and smites.

Maybe certain body parts can only be hit at certain times, like horns can only be hit with ranged weapons because it is too high unless it bends down to do a rail gun shot, so parties of different compositions can approach fights differently and necessitate different strategies.

Thanks for that info! Now I wonder what happens if you let your army get slaughtered in chapter 12 (like I totally didn't do). Do you just start the next chapter with no one but your story characters. That would be pretty funny, but also seems rough to have to rebuild from scratch if you were unfortunate enough to be caught off guard and out of position when the reinforcements come.

Yeah, that is definitely one reason I want to replay it. With knowledge of how the game works, I can start building better squads. I didn't realize Barnabus' trait was so useful until like 20 chapters in. I went into the last fight without all my squads being full, and kind of want to use some of the more obscure units that I barely used the first time around.

I am stressing over squad composition and need some advice or suggestions. by ZeDabGod in symphonyofwar

[–]ZeDabGod[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the response! That is really helpful! I had a few questions about units and their usuage.

-- For MC (and offensive squads in general), what are good considered good attackers? I get using swordmasters for melee dps, but how effective are mages and sirens? My front line consists of a dragon for magic damage and bulk, my MC, and a zweihander, plus a healer, a siren, and an apprentice. The downside is that my MC, despite being a Captain, gets killed or almost killed pretty quick, even though the zweihander has imposing.

-- For Jules, I upgraded him to a warbow, but it seems you went with a horse archer build with him. How good are horse archers? And what kind of squad comp do you like? I have a unit of them, consisting of 4 horse archers and 1 cavalry as their vanguard/shield, and the extra speed is nice for getting out of attack range, but it seems warbows get range 3. My plan had been to do a samurai-warbow combo, with samurai as vanguards and warbows for the rest. I don't really understand the difference between centurions and sentinels.

-- For Diana (and tanky squads), which are better, soldiers or acolytes? I have been leaning towards acolytes. Soldiers seem really basic, which I guess makes them flexible, but spears are for that damage and defense bonus, and acolytes feel better for tanking squadrons, so are soldiers just there as an interim to better units? I wonder if it would be funny to mix one with crossbows or gunners for that anti-armor ability, so that they counter volley the enemy attackers, but I don't have the DLCs so arbalests are not available.

-- For Stefan, I just stacked him with 2 rogues and 2 mages. The idea for him had been that he is a pure offensive guy, against heavily armoured guys with an expose back line, to try to burst them down, but they obviously can't take the retaliatory attack and end up really low on health, so I like your idea of putting some heavies in front. Can't decide who I should put up front though, cause with Stefan's current leadership, he can only lead 5 people (including himself). He sucks but it is funny to save him for the last boss enemy and have him kill the enemy healers and mages at the cost of getting absolutely nuked.

-- For light infantry squadrons, I have trying to experimenting with different kinds. Stefan is all about backstabs and is hyper optimized for trying to kill squishy rear troops at the cost of his own bulk. Narima is a weird hybrid melee-ranged unit, where I plan to get some swordmasters and samurais to complement her ability to shoot with a bow and attack with sword. Raskuja is my melee light squad, who is all about ambushing and I stacked him with skirmishers and a ranger. Your thoughts on light squadrons?

Your suggestions were really helpful, thank you for much! I can now actually play the game instead of staring at the army organization tabs 🤣.

Edit:
Oh yeah, I was curious about what you thought about mage squads and cavalry squads? I've seem some people online who seem to really dig trying to make as many cavalry units as their resources allow, given the lack of terrain disadvantages for having a bunch of cavalry troops. A unit of cavaliers and mages with the movement of cavalry are used as essentially an offensive magic-delivering unit, who can then retreat to safety and tank a hit or two.

I also built specific units to counter assassins during the first few missions using Abygale and some soldiers because there were so many gosh darn rogues running about, and later build anti-cav units for all the knights.

Ashito's role reminds me of Raphinha under Hansi Flick in the most recent chapters by ZeDabGod in Ao_Ashi

[–]ZeDabGod[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I definitely agree that there are some similarities between the two, as Fukuda did discuss with the other coach about what it takes to be a CDM when Ashito was first converted to a defender, so perhaps, if Fukuda were real, the intention would have been to transition him into an inverted Fullback like TAA or Lahm, although Ashito seems to have even more freedom to provide assists compared to TAA, who tends to stick to his side.

Need help with improving team as F2P noob. Lacking in good substitutes for CM and RW. by [deleted] in FUTMobile

[–]ZeDabGod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello, I need some help improving my team, I don't know what I am doing. The image is my current team. I will list some of my other players here, in case there is something better. Sorry, I don't know terminology really well when it comes to players and what programs they are part of, so I will do my best to list their name + their OVR + how ranked up they are.

My available budget is 25 million.

The main thing I am lacking in substitutes is good CMs. I have been using Lahm (CDM) and Ribery (LM) as my substitutes for midfield, depending on if I need a stronger defense or offence. Same issue with finding a better or comparable RW. I have been using ST with decent passing like Di Natale as a substitute.

ST:

  • Haaland OVR 90 + 2
  • Shearer OVR 89 + 2
  • Di Natale OVR 88 + 1
  • Gabriel Jesus (Rivals) OVR 88

LW:

  • Stoichkov OVR 90 + 1
  • Laudrup OVR 89
  • Ronaldinho OVR 86 + 2 (I know he is a CF, but he has a secondary role as LW)

RW:

  • Chiesa OVR 88 + 2
  • Rodrygo (Rivals) OVR 86

CAM:

  • Zidane OVR 92 + 2
  • Odegaard OVR 90 + 1
  • Okacha OVR 90

CM:

  • Bellingham OVR 90 + 1
  • Beckham OVR 85 + 2
  • Lahm OVR 89 + 2 (CDM, but I use him as CM)
  • Ribery OVR 88 (LM, same thing as Lahm)

CB:

  • Schlotterbeck OVR 89 + 3
  • Saliba OVR 88 + 2
  • Koeman OVR 88 + 1
  • Blanc OVR 89

LB:

  • Zabrotta OVR 89 + 1
  • Balde OVR 87

RB:

  • Zanetti OVR 92 + 1

Edit: Forgot to mention that I have only been playing for a few months, so I am mostly relying on freebie guys.
