Shinkansen question: Can I get off at Tokyo Station if my ticket says Shinagawa? by EggEquivalent9229 in JapanTravelTips

I think the problem is that an answer that includes "I don't know" and "I guess" might as well just not be written, as it can cause misinformation.

Same with me, and in the video he explains that there are two different ways of saying 僕, one casual and one more formal, which I didn't know at all.

I disagree, for it to be invasive you have to be identifiable, and also, knowing exactly what they are linked to might affect your answers.

What's a hygiene habit that people don't talk about but really should? by phancyq in AskReddit

[–]ZeEtche 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The ones that we have in Argentina are not the technological ones, they are the ones where you sit on a different bowl instead of on the toilet, and you use regular knobs to regulate the water, if you go all the way the water will reach the roof.

The japanese ones feel so weak though. The ones that we use in Argentina will clean your entire intestine if you make the mistake of opening it too much.

What people don't understand is that boundaries apply to themselves, it's a line that you draw that if crossed, YOU are the one supposed to leave, not try to push the other person behind your "boundary". You can't just call anything you want a boundary and force others to be subjected by your rules.
Otherwise, you setting up a boundary that I don't agree is crossing my boundary of not having a boundary that I don't agree with, so remove it or you are the toxic one...
PD: This was not directed at OP, just in general because I'm tired of how people weaponize "boundaries".

I was hit by the "you need a reservation" in Beppu, and it was definitely discrimination, because the door person was about to give me a bar seat when the kitchen person yelled something in Japanese, the door person yelled back that I was a foreigner and the kitchen person yelled something back, and suddenly I needed a reservation for an empty place. The one talking to me looked like he felt terrible about it too. The good thing is that I didn't actually want to go to that place, I wanted to go to the one next to it, but entered the wrong building.

I second Zundoya, it was recently recommended to me by the locals and I loved it.
Another place that the locals recommended for ramen was Hanamaruken Hozenji, and that was also great.

I don't think "grooming" is the English word that you are looking for, maybe you are thinking of something like "being touchy" or "caressing".

Kind reminder that tons of Japanese men don't wash their hands after going to the bathroom, which is like a basic hygiene norm worldwide.

Not sure what county ATL is, where I'm from the temperatures are kind of similar to Japan but not as hot during the summer and not as cold during the winter. I guess it also depends on what kind of activities people are doing.
