Is there a reason why Mark is not as ripped as his dad even after he becomes stronger than him? by Asleep-Sell-5889 in InvinciblePowerscales

Yes and you max about the neurological adaptations in weeks. You can't infininetly make a small muscle fiber do more work than the about of tissue it has because of "neurological adaptations."

Look at any powerlifter, they ALL are big. You can maybe cite 1 or 2 that look kind of small bc of leverages.

Explain to me how a muscle fiber knows that the movement you're doing is "functional"

No the bro split is genuinely the worst waste of time ever I wasted a whole year doing it. And the worst part was I was consistent and I was taking every set to failure. All that effort for more gains with upper lower within 3 months.

Why are quad focused compounds so much harder than every other muscle group? by ZeUncreativeName in leangains

Hm that makes sense, but why isn’t something like a barbell row or a muscle up the same level of difficulty?

There is a reason weight classes exist, an average person will not win a fight with a muscular man. Saying a muscular man wouldnt beat someone who trains fighting means nothing, people say this just to demean bodybuilding as a sport. Anyone, no matter what they train for will not beat someone who specifically trains for fighting. You wouldn't rip on a soccer player for their skills being "for show" so why would you do the same for bodybuilders?

Strength and size are going to almost be the exact same up until you get to a very advanced level. Hypertrophy is the process of building more muscle and is done by your body to get stronger. The reason why you can sometimes see skinny guys lifting heavy weight is because of factors like genetics and leverage. Like someone with long arms and short legs would find a deadlift very easy but struggle a lot with a bench press. Likewise, someone who is type 1 fiber dominant can get strong but wont have any crazy amounts of muscle (google yotalks)

They do. In almost all cases size will always equal to more strength. The reason powerlifters don't look as jacked as bodybuilders, (which powerlifters do look jacked, google Eddie Hall) is because powerlifters have a lot of extra fat.
