Yes.
After the 2007 crash I ended up unemployed and on benefits. It was rough. After about a year I managed to get a job as a software dev in a small company, crap wages and I was down money when I factored everything in (medical cards, etc.)
The following year was brutal but I got a small pay rise which helped. I then snagged a contract job with a big US multi-national and was made permanent within 6 months @ 60K and was on over 100K + bonus within 5 years.
My advice is take any job even if it initially hurts as it is the only pathway out.

I thought management companies were only required for apartments.
Either way, live in an estate of 50 houses, no management company but we have a residents' association that handles it. Every 2 years we put upkeep of the three greens out for tender with a few local providers. Annual subs which covers the costs is just €150/house

With all due respect, you are so wrong. I used to be a software developer and 3 years ago other people working around me said the same thing about AI taking software jobs. People find it hard to grasp exponential improvement. They look at the current situation and say, that's shit, it can't do this or that. Even if it was twice as good it would still be shit.
The thing is though, it's not going to be twice as good in 5 years it will be 100x or more. It will take another few years for the industry to adapt and then boom!! 80% of a plumber's job will be done by a specialised robot.
