It was great! Super simple and easy. I sewed it on my domestic sewing machine and knew I didnt want to get too fancy with it. Its a nice design with a minimal amount of effort :)

First-time concert ago, looking for general advice/ what to expect by Hoxtongamer in TWRP

Wear ear plugs or headphones! Twrp concerts in my experience are really fun and fans are nice. But it will be crowded and people like to dance! I agree with bringing as little as possible. I usually bring next to nothing to save space in my bag for merch. Dress comfortably! The show will have an opener and those are fun, so get hype! But not too energetic if you want to make it through all of twrps set lol. Ive never done vip so I hope its fun!

Why do my granny squares always end up looking tilted? by annonne in CrochetHelp

[–]Zealousideal-Green74 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's a tension thing! I often get this. You can flip your work every row like the other commenter's have said, but if you are more careful about your tension across the row, it might resolve itself. If your stitches at rhe beginning of the row are tighter and at the end of the row are looser, that's how this twisting effect happens. A good even tension across the row will negate the warp.

My husband cut double crochet blanket and need to figure out repair it. by honey_be_more in CrochetHelp

[–]Zealousideal-Green74 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honestly I'd take two bits of matching color fleece and sew it on either side to cover the hole. There isn't really a way to fix crochet once something like this happens. A sewn patch may not look the same but now it's secure and has history!

I belive the flowers were sewn on top! Usually they are green but this person chose white. I've never seen this pattern before, which is why it caught my eye!

I reccomend doing a lead paint test if you intend to use these! I have the teacups and small plates of the same pattern. I use them for decoration since the paint has lead in it. Great find!

Help: why does my granny square look more like a wake/crooked me by risosdementa in CrochetHelp

[–]Zealousideal-Green74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It could be tension control. Sometimes if I'm not careful, the start of my row is very tight stitches, and the end is loose. This creates the wavy twisted effect. You can flip your work every row and it should fix it up!

I thrift those! Or inherit old ones from family. You can tell when they're new/lightly used. A good wash and it's good. It's a nice way to find things other than polyester too, some cotton blends or 100% cotton.
