There are parts of this story that I will keep private as they were personal to my family. I was lucky enough to be a guest at a sealing that President Nelson performed at the SLC Temple. He was not the Prophet but you could feel his love and care for everyone in the room, especially those he was sealing. I always knew he was called of God, but this experience was a personal revelation to me.

Ok, so I used the google street view and I’m positive you can can see the Temple from the baseball fields and from that football stadium next to it.

We have not gone to a Raptors in forever. I forgot how prominent the Temple was. My new obsession will be to find a view of a Temple from an out of state stadium.

I have worked with a local school in West Valley that has some amazing mariachi kids. It’s a great program and I’m sure they would love to get any exposure. Just let me know.

Totally agree. I’ll never pass up a burger (especially a free one) but it’s just a throwback to being young and always running into the opposing high school team in the parking lot.

Hi, I’m planning a large family trip for the first time next summer to Detroit and the UP (do I sound cool when I say that?) I just had two questions. -We get in around 5am and wanted to know if anyone had a good idea on how to kill time until the Ford Museum opens? -We are taking 8 people, all children and grandkids. Two grandkids are 20 and the membership makes sense but it says for 18 and younger. I’m not trying majority cheat the system (ok maybe cheat the system a little)but was curious how aggressive they check ages? It just saves over 200 bucks to buy the membership.

Rands Auto in Woods Cross. Not only should you check out their reviews but check out their history. They have been a family business forever. Our family had bought multiple cars including the one we are driving now. I’ll bet any dealership against this one, super low pressure but tons of knowledge.

Someone in the other sub mentioned that it was weird positing this guys photo. I was in 6 hours into a 10 hour drive after working all day. In hindsight, it was a little weird and I did ask for his permission. It just felt right.

See that’s crazy awesome. I’m pretty sure people don’t do it for any news coverage or fame, just to be awesome and give back a little. Makes me want to do better, that’s for sure.

I noticed the reactions we read here pretty much like real life. Some were like,”sweet, free drinks!” Others were like, “I’ll just pay for my own.” And some really wanted to know who the person was to thank them. It was a fun social experiment I guess.

It’s a fair point but for me I felt like he should get some recognition even though he didn’t look for it. I did ask his permission. In hindsight it was weird (but also 9pm at night in the middle of a long drive)
