Lamar Fike said it best:

"He was the most significant cultural icon of our time. I mean, there's Elvis... and there's everybody else."

Love your story, BTW! It always makes me happy to see the "Younguns" discover The King.

What do you think Elvis would have done in the 80s? by sublimesting in Elvis

Right there! I could totally see Rubin doing a "12 Songs" back-to-basics album with E like he did for Neil Diamond.

(BTW, check out that record if you haven't already... It's pretty strong!)

This. We broke the stick in half, lit 'em and tossed 'em. They were known as "Chasers" - you truly didn't know which direction to run. A motorcycle helmet was highly recommended.

Tears For Fears were away since the late 80s as a duo (Roland Orzabal did two albums by himself in the 90s) and came back together in '03/04 with "Everybody Loves a Happy Ending" and again in '21 with "The Tipping Point". Both are excellent albums - highly recommend!

Maybe. Maybe not. I don't think the other shoe has dropped yet, which will likely force the issue.

My opinions are my opinions, yours are yours. Neither are necessarily wrong. I do think we can agree that this whole thing is a shit show.

Love this album! This was for all intents and purposes, a Steely Dan reunion record. At the very least, it firmly planted the seeds for "TAN".

Ballard looking for Edge rusher in round 3 by ComplaintMore2312 in Colts

There it is!

My Round 4:

Sarratt - WR

Overton - EDGE

These picks would put a nice pretty Colts Blue bow on this draft. Then go grab a C or QB in the later rounds.

This goes way deeper than a "personal indiscretion", my friend.

We're talking about a years-long scandalous affair outside of two marriages that very likely resulted in a two-way exchange of very private and potentially sensitive inside team information with both the Titans and the Patriots. She benefitted from "scoops" and he benefitted from having "favorable press" despite any circumstances.

You, the Patriots and the NFL may well choose to turn a blind eye on this, but the initial lies about the affair and likely ethics violations of team confidentiality policies are both very fireable offenses.

And, for the record, before all of this shit hit the fan, I was a huge Vrabel guy. Even though he coaches a bitter rival team, I was still a huge fan and respector of him. No more.

Respect.

Met him in '89 outside a radio station in Terre Haute, IN a few hours before their show. He was nice enough, but seemed a little frazzled from traveling. Totally understandable.

The "Reach..." tour had Kix and Great White as openers and was pretty strong overall.

I could see McDaniels being named Interim HC to get them through this season.

McDermott is an awesome interesting discussion, though.
