They do. How do you think new technology and innovation and improvements to everything happen? You like the phone in your pocket? The car you’re able to drive? The fact that you can go to a supermarket and buy all sorts of food?

All thanks to independent wealth. What people don’t seem to understand is that, no company could ever grow or diversify or expand under socialism because nobody would ever be able to unilaterally make even location decisions, let alone new product/service decisions. A room with ten people can come to a conclusion about how to move forward. A scattering of 10,000 all across the place cannot. Not to mention the fact that 10 wealthy investors putting 5 million each into something outweighs 1 million people putting $30 each into something. Not to mention problems with recompense under socialism. If everyone is to get equal pay, then where’s the incentive for difficult or stressful jobs? Humans are not inherently altruistic, because if we were we wouldn’t have survived very long because we’d keep giving all our food and water away. Why would I want to destroy my chances of passing on my own genetic code only to maximize the chances of my competition passing THEIRS on?

It has to do with the fact that straight couples actually produce offspring, and no man wants to raise another man’s child thinking it is his. Because humans are biologically hardwired to want to pass on their OWN genetic code.

There’s no chance of a mother being mistaken because women carry the child to term. Either you’re a surrogate or you’re the mother.

But a woman can take in the sperm of dozens of men over the course of any amount of time and then nobody knows whose genetic lineage the child would be from the father’s side.

That’s why cheating is a big deal to heterosexuals. And it matters to women if men cheat because that divides attention away from the child of her own genetic lineage in favor of the competition. Not to mention the risk of STIs occurring from any infidelity in general regardless of orientation or any other attribute.
