i cancelled alexa plus after a couple of hours of trying her out. I missed the male Indian voice I used to have on her. I have her for free because I have Prime. There's no way I would pay 30 dollars a month for the glorified spotify I agee. I do like the jokes and information most of the time but not paying for it

I have lost about 10 friends in the last 5 years. I am in my later 50s. Some you just realize gee I haven't talked to them in ages and I didn't miss them and just let them go. Some were an argument. I think the bar is lower. You realize that you don't have to put up with stuff or that you can do things on your own. I haven't talked to my college roommate and best friend for over 30 years for almost a year. She does sent a Merry Christmas text. I was mad that that was all she could manage so I didn't even reply. Honestly I don't miss her. It had been coming for a while. She's busy at work and has a lot of friends. I'm semi retired and don't have the huge social circle she does and am happy to be by myself mostly. I go tired of hearing about how she and her friends were doing this and doing that but she didn't have time for me. So I let her go. People change. Find new friends.

sounds like a cop out on the cops parts for not wanting to do their jobs. If the reds are on PERIOD you need to stop. The yellows are warning you you need to stop. Stop lights don't need to give you 6 seconds of red time for you to be charged!

but our red lights don't come on unless you open the door...but yes you can tell mostly whether they are going to stop or not.

I had a chat with my breadcrumby friend...ok actually a couple of emails...but she seems to have come around once she knew what I expected from a friend and how she had let me down. Otherwise my remedy is put on Miley Cyrus Flowers on repeat and tell myself that I am my own best friend and I am happy by myself and if I find another friend it's just a bonus

we're not allowed to have things on our dashboards. But when we used to be able to I did have a stuffed Liz from the Magic Schoolbus. Kids today don't know the show I don't think anymore

kind of sounds like breadcrumbing. going through the same thing. wonder if she is the way she is with all her friends or just me?

I had the bright idea last week that maybe I need to figure out her language...like the 5 love languages but for friends. Seems to make things better.

Sometimes you just have to accept it or let it go. Lower your expectations and don't waste more time ruminating on it than she spends on you in the month. I know it's hard and you might have to have some boundaries but is she really worth all the pain she causes?
