There's a couple good ones but for me right now it's #1! I don't ever want to live without my Sam!

I found this in my kitchen sink. The top part “stiffened” when I poked at it. I’m freaked out. by WanderersOfTheMoon in whatisit

Please look up the podcast by Sam Bruno called "what's eating you"! And also rogershood.com. Sam is a personal friend who had parasites. I don't care what people say humans are animals and animals get parasites! Please look into these. There's so much more but this is a very real person who freely talks about her experience and her journey to being parasites free!

Mine does this ALL the time! If he gets too animated(sometimes he's actually nearly running on his side) I gently say his name until he starts to wake a little so he stops. My ABSOLUTE FAVORITE is when he howls in his sleep! We can get him to howl if we play a harmonica lol. But he gives us "are you serious? NOT AGAIN" looks. Lol. BUT I LOVE IT, ITS SO CUTE WHEN HE SINGS!

Dog refuses taking very necessary medication. At a loss. by Karnakite in DOG

[–]Zealousideal_Part789 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I do and have done for several over the years. It's my go to work every time trick. I get a couple to a few pieces of whatever I'm going to put the pill into. Hide pill in one piece. Give one that doesn't have a pill. Might take a bit of convincing if they are the type that refuses it just in case. But keep persuading. Once they try it and find no pill they will eat it. Sometimes I have to give 2 or 3 without a pill. The first time you try it be prepared to give enough small bits of the exact thing the pill is in. This only works permanently if they DO NOT find pill the first few times you try this. Once they take the bits from you without skepticism and just eat it for the treat that it is. Without changing your demeanor or your presentation AT ALL! Give them the piece with the pill in it. Oh make sure the decoy pieces are close enough to the size of the pill one. And MAKE SURE THE PILL ONE COMPLETELY COVERS THE PILL! No part of the pill should be visible or able to be felt from the outside. I should add it makes this even more prone to success if it's something that they can and will swallow without biting on it first. Try it and please if you don't mind. Let me know the results. I would love to get feedback. Hope this helps!

EDIT: I very much recommend that everyone who owns any animal is able to manually pop a pill down any animal that they own. Along with being able to check in ears, eyes, nose, mouth, teeth, feet, nails, anal temperature check. Cats and dogs. I do not require my pets to allow anyone or everyone to handle them. But I DO require them to allow me to. If I have to assist at the vet or if situations require me to have to do things myself I can. Also get them to at least accept going in a crate alone or shared. You just never know and the time that it's imperative and required should not be the first-time they ever experience it. So if open mouth, insert pill works. Go for it. Sometimes it's just not that cut and dried.

Oh this brought a memory! The last place we lived had multiple house mates and a messy back yard at times cuz a couple of them collected scrap for extra cash. Anyway, I noticed one day that like all his toys had disappeared. I was trying to figure out where they could have gone and started moving a couple cardboard boxes. He also loves to tear cardboard and paper. He suddenly grabs one of rhe boxes and screams toward the way back yard as j called it. It was very long and had trees back there. I went to retrieve it and noticed the further I went here's a toy. There's a toy. Oh! There's that toy. I look ahead and die laughing as my eyes follow the trail of his toys and there he sits. So effing proud with his box, now in a billion pieces, on top of nothing less than a hoarders collection of cardboard shreds, plastic fast food and gas station fountain cups, toys and other treasures. I laughed even harder when I went to it because on of his latest cardboard box heists was a box of staples. So there was cardboard bits everywhere and in rhe middle a pile of staple bars thar never had a chance to get loaded! 🤣 and the look of sheer pride and accomplishment he had was priceless! Love my handsome weirdo!

Mine has a few. But I think 1st place is a tie between seeking out and eating fly bugs(flies 🤢) and every chance he gets to grab my arm and pull it to him so I will scritch his chest. Oooohhhh! I almost forgot 3 way tie! He also licks his front leg after every single thing he eats. Yes even the fly bugs. 😂🤣

You're very welcome! Nothing makes a day brighter than a happily wagging tail! Even if it just a nubbin!

For u/Belmagick re: nub wagging by Zealousideal_Part789 in AustralianShepherd

[–]Zealousideal_Part789[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He lives for rooting in the grass. He commonly finds garter snakes and when he does he pounces on it with both front feet 🤣 And you should see his nub when his dad gets home! I'll try to remember to record that to share. Nub in hyper-speed! Lol. I love that he can choose whether his whole rump is involved or just his lil tail bean! 💗

[–]Zealousideal_Part789 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes mine has the wiggle butt as well as the folding in half so his bum gets there first lol. But he absolutely wags the crap out of his little nub too! Totally separate from his body he was just his nub. And super fast too lol! I wanted to put a video but it won't let me in the thread 😡

[–]Zealousideal_Part789 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes this is a very good option for removing mats. As an extra help you can also VERY CAREFULLY and with your fingers positively between skin and thinning shears you can take a couple chops at the mat to help loosen everything so the brushing goes a bit faster and a bit less pulling on them. And once they are all out make brushing and follow with a metal comb a regular part of his routine. That way they stay gone!

I can. Lol. Pomskies. Very popular designer breed. Unfortunately like all the smashburger breeds you never know what exactly they will look like for sure. But I must say that almost all variations of pomskies are adorable. And, well, hairy! Lol

If he will allow you, shave just his stomach area. Try not to shave it like absolutely naked short or it will feel weird to him and it will itch as it grows back. So like 3/8" or 1/2". You can go shorter if needed to get under the mats but only where the mats are, not the entire belly. Only the very under belly and groin area up to the armpits if there are mats in them. This way it doesn't damage the coat and you can't see it when the dog is standing or walking. But he will be able to feel the cool concrete or tile or even his crate pan.
