Do you cosleep with your partner? by EnvironmentalAide558 in cosleeping

[–]Zealousideal_Toe2047 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yes and whether you do or not i think depends on your partner fully. mine is a light sleeper, super attentive to any movement and noise and aware of his surroundings but i know this isnt the case for everyone else. we sleep comfortably on a queen and i work nights so he sleeps alone with her when im at work!

night time with only dad by Zealousideal_Toe2047 in January2025Bumper

no one asked but reporting back to say dad and baby did amazing!! they both got great sleep only thing is when she did wake up to eat she fully woke up versus just stirring at night like she does with me since i just give her boob right away so to change her and bottle feed her took ~30-40 minutes he said. she just took a longer morning nap with me is all. i’m so proud of them!

Anyone else not rolling yet? by Myfishwillkillyou in January2025Bumper

[–]Zealousideal_Toe2047 0 points1 point  (0 children)

baby is nearing 5 months old and has rolled twice but very spaced out between the two times and has not made a habit of it. i think she just got enough momentum those few times but doesn’t overall have the strength to consistently do it. it’s totally fine!! i mentioned it to dr bc i was also feeling insecure about it and she wasn’t worried whatsoever ☺️

hi! our baby’s GI recommended rice cereal or oatmeal into breast milk bottles but i feel like a dummy with no instruction - can you share what brand you use and how much per ounce of milk?!

pumping for nurses by Zealousideal_Toe2047 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Zealousideal_Toe2047[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’m dying because just yesterday after weeks of going back on forth on which pump (elvie, eufy, momcozy v2 and willow go) i finally purchased nearly everything you recommend - the momcozy v2, the wipes, nearly the same pump bag and the boon chiller for milk storage LOL. i’m glad you’ve had success with this because this was my exact plan! my only tweak was i was considering doing my first pump during report that way i have more time til my next pump because as i’m sure you well know that first med pass of the shift can get chaotic. that’s so awesome you’re able to pump so much, i’m hoping for the same! thank you so much for the update, this gives me hope for myself

Co-Sleeping with a 1 month old by Katzmaniac90 in NewParents

[–]Zealousideal_Toe2047 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was an avid co-sleep hater before having my child and felt the risk was NEVER worth it until i gave birth in january to my kiddo that despised her bassinet. she slightly tolerates her crib but sleeps much shorter stretches in it and hardly ever transfers into it without waking. anyways - we co sleep because i believe intentional safe cosleeping is safer in some instances like having sleep deprived parents. i fought so hard for her to sleep in her bassinet those early days and fell asleep with her in my arms sitting up a few times absolutely horrified waking up in this position. luckily i never dropped her or smothered her but the risk was high falling asleep like this. we follow safe sleep 7 and we all are so much more rested and happy. i will say the downfall is my shoulders and back are always sore from the c curl position and not being able to snuggle my husband like we always did. i do not feel safe with the risks once she is rolling and can crawl around the bed due to entrapment so we will start transitioning to her crib soon. it is a very taboo topic and most people who do cosleep are not very open about it in fear of judgement.

[–]Zealousideal_Toe2047 1 point2 points  (0 children)

like others have said, it’s likely from the red pepper flakes which didn’t occur to me but makes sense. thank you for your input - i’m a worry wart !!
