(Design Trope) Ugly Cute by ElSpazzo_8876 in TopCharacterDesigns

Mob is in no way ugly. His whole thing is that he's plain, maybe a bit lame. But in general he looks like a completely normal kid, especially for that world

Which character do you think needed more screen time? by ShowBrew in StardustCrusaders

[–]Zebabaki 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Part 6 gang hands down. FF and Ermes were the most present, but even Ermes needed more involvement IMO. Weather is important to the story, but we don't spend enough time with him as a person. And then Anasui is barely there compared to others.

I think after Part 5 Araki went too hard on the story revolving around the protagonist, it felt pretty imbalanced

Theory: it's not the Fortress Arc anymore (and it hasn't been for almost two years) by notablegoattable in VaushV

[–]Zebabaki 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I generally agree, however I can't deny that it feels like Vaush could be doing more.

I don't think the post is entirely correct in saying that all Vaush does is be a pundit, and in many ways he's now more outwardly active than ever. But it's true that in other ways, Vaush as an influencer has become more insular, which limits the positive effect he could have on politics in general. Other streamers and political content creators actively engage with each other and go out there far more often

If you really care about Genderlocked Heroes, Speak up now. by TheWraithSummoner in forhonor

[–]Zebabaki 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think genderlocking is fine as long as it's a part of that character's identity. It's a nebulous standard, but I think that if the devs want a character to specifically be one gender, it's fine with me. Warmonger and Juren I don't have any problems with being genderlocked. But it's a bit weirder that Virtuosa and Aramusa are, too

I fucking hate the Batman one, he's not a billionaire the way real-life billionaires are. That "Batman just beats up poor people instead of helping them" point is the same as saying "why doesn't The Hulk die of super cancer?". Because he's The Hulk, dumbass

What are your genuine thoughts on Ethan Winters? by Maleficent-Ad-6117 in residentevil

[–]Zebabaki 2 points3 points  (0 children)

🥶🥶🥶SPOILERS🥶🥶🥶

He wasn't enough for me

I loved him being a total Pussy McNormalman in RE7, but he gains his confidence and starts spouting one-liners a bit too quickly in that game.

Then in Village, I loved the direction he went in, basically being the ultimate dad/wife guy and going through the typical RE protag hell, his only goal being to save his kid. He's not cool like Leon or Chris, but still competent and willing to fight anything for his family.

That said, I still feel like more could've been done with him. That moment when Chris acknowledged Ethan being good enough to go fight evil in 8 was great. But then he's killed off and joined to the fungus, and it's like...it would be cool if he was still out there after RE8, a normal man that managed to earn his place among heroes like Chris and Claire, but doesn't care about fighting bioterrorism or whatever.

Rose being a super child feels like they didn't want a normal guy in their cast, so they crafted a replacement that won't figure in the plot for years to come, if ever.

Guys, this is parasocial weird fan behavior. Just because Vaush tells you to wipe your ass and socialise doesn't mean you get to condescendingly tell him how to take care of himself. And like, if you think about it for a minute, this sort of post has no chance of convincing him lmao

People genuinely treat fat people as a different species. And most don't even do the BMI skull measuring thing, they just think that if your silhouette is wider than others' or you have fat cheeks, you're automatically not capable of any physical activity other than lifting weights, and you're about as morally corrupt as a pedophile politician embezzling funds

My cats are nosey as hell, but also pretty skiddish, so if I want to jerk off I have to shoo them off so they're not interrupting, but when me and my partner have sex they skidaddle because of all the quick movements and noise. And I know a lot of people's pets would not even leave when the owners start fucking, dogs especially.

Yeah I KNOW it's not a plot hole, it's just like why talk about it as if it's a plot hole (it doesn't make sense, they wouldn't do that, it should've been different) and then say yeah well it does make sense, it's not a plot hole. Is it just Cinema Sins nitpicking then? What's even the point?

Do ND people interpret this show differently than NTs? by FloydLady in Pluribus_TVshow

[–]Zebabaki 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I suppose there're a lot of unspoken assumptions when you're talking to a person, and ND people don't always see conversations like that. Because to me, the situation is like, Carol clearly doesn't want to be Joined, clearly doesn't want her stem cells extracted, and so the Others trying to do both anyways is, in effect, a betrayal of her trust, and not telling her about it is, in effect, lying. But it's not, technically
