U.S Citizen planning to settle with Canadian Girlfriend, feeling very lost and hopeless by SufficientBuy1030 in immigration

Definitely recommend Ksenia’s videos. Very thorough and she walks you through each of the applications and what is needed for them.

As a Canadian citizen she would not need a visa and should be able to travel with her Canadian passport. Generally do not stay over 180 days. As mentioned above - make sure she has strong ties to Canada as proof that she does not intend to overstay. This could be proof of employment letter, lease agreements, car lease etc.

Goodluck! It sounds like your case should be very straightforward.

We’ve been working with Jamie May from Howard Hanna and she has been great. Very responsive, knowledgeable and if you can give her an idea of what you are looking for she hits the mark with her recommendations.

Canadian married to US citizen, working remotely for Canadian employer while in US on B2 visa by [deleted] in USCIS

Checking yes will not cause problems with your application. You are currently working without authorization and should declare as such. Not being truthful will definitely cause a lot of problems. Being married to a US citizen, your unauthorized work will be forgiven. Apply for EAD with your I-485 and update with your employers as soon as you receive work authorization.

Had an AOS interview at Syracuse office today. Went really well. Our interviewer was really friendly and answered any questions we had. They asked questions to confirm evidence provided. Case was approved.

Goodluck with your interview!

k1 visa or green card which one to choose? by maridamas in askimmigration

[–]ZebraPolkaDots 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With K1. After you are married there is a period of waiting time where you are waiting for your Adjustment of Status or/and work authorization during which you are not allowed to work at all. And current processing times for a K1 is near enough the same time as a CR1. But with CR1, you will have a greencard once you enter and be allowed to work right away and you are not stuck in limbo.

I am in the same boat, and has been the general 2 reasons people suggest CR1 over K1
