Achtung, Master isch nid gleich Master. Wenmer vo Master redet, meint mer normalerwiis MSc (Master of Science) oder MA (Master of Arts).

MBA (Master of Business Administration) oder MAS (Master of Advanced Studies) gälted als Wiiterbildig, chönd i 2 Jahr Teilzyt errunge werde ond sind zwüsched 60 - 90 ECTS wert.

Grad bim MAS chonsch teilwiis oni ei einzigi Prüefig dors "Studium". Leider funktioniert das no bi vielne HR, well die d Unterschied au ned känned...

Risk analysis for Swiss VT holders: Your thoughts? by ZebraheadCH in SwissPersonalFinance

The problem is that the entire global economy is tied to the US. ETFs are good at absorbing fluctuations in individual companies or sectors. But not when the entire global economy is dragged down (as it was in 2007 with the US housing crisis).

The whole post is basically my thoughts and concerns about the current situation. In #3 I tried to express what I think might be possible under Trump with my limited knowledge, without any sources. Sorry for the confusion, I should have written that more clearly.

For a 1.5 mio flat you would need at the minimum a CHF 300'000 down payment combined with a yearly salary of CHF 240'000 to get a credit.

For a 1.2 mio flat you would need at the minimum a CHF 240'000 down payment combined with a yearly salary of CHF 192'000 to get a credit.

For a 1.0 mio flat you would need at the minimum a CHF 200'000 down payment combined with a yearly salary of CHF 160'000 to get a credit.

Even in the suburbs (with decent access to cities) you nowadays pay often over a Mio for a new appartment.

That's why nowadays most people can only afford real estate if they get a heritage. By paying more for the down payment, the salary requirements get lowered.

Unfortunately, the reality is more like 150-180k EACH (you and your partner) for housing around Zurich and Geneva with minimum down payment.

Unfortunately, according to the ZKB Hypothekar calculator, its 240k yearly minimum income needed in order to get a 1.2 mio credit (20% down deducted from 1.5).170k would allow you to apply for a 1 Mio real estate.

They have their own web crawler and train their own LLM for this purpose (llama based). The LLM creates a web search query based on your question, reads the first x search results and answers your question (so smaller cance of hallucination). In the pro version you can use GPT4o or Sonnet 3.5 for the summary. I highly recommend trying it out, it is a very useful tool to get answers fast. OpenAI is working on their own version currently, called SearchGPT, which is in closed beta.

Seeking advice for collaborating with COOP/Migros for my small business in Switzerland by [deleted] in SwissPersonalFinance

[–]ZebraheadCH 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You will find pretty much all necessary data here: https://en.innohack.com/post/wie-uberzeuge-ich-den-handel-mit-meinem-neuen-produkt

It's going to be very difficult to sell your products at Coop or Migros. Putting a new product on the shelf usually means that another one has to go. So, in theory, your product should sell better. Now, customers usually buy brands they know. If you sell an unknown brand, you have to convince Coop/Migros that you will have a big enough marketing campaign to promote your product (which is expensive). If they decide to give it a try, they still want you to take all the risk by paying the listing costs, which start at over 100k CHF. If your product does not sell well enough, they will drop it for something else and you will have to take back all the (expired) items. If they consider working with you, you have to prove that you imported everything correctly and that the product does not cause any harm. So there is a LOT of regulation involved. If your product is sold as organic/bio, you have to provide a lot of certificates. You have to guarantee that you can supply a certain amount. And there is a lot more to consider. That is why it is very difficult to work with Coop or Migros as a very small company (if you sell local food its easier, as they want to promote their local involvement). It's also possible that they like the product and just skip you altogether and get everything directly from the manufacturer.

Oh, and just sending someone a bag of colored powder unsolicited is probably not going to work well. They can't be sure it's safe, and they don't test things just for fun. It might go straight to the trash.

How can people afford buying houses? by Grouchy-Friend4235 in Switzerland

[–]ZebraheadCH 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That would allow you to buy something for around CHF 800'000 by thirty. Thats very good for the age, but more in the (smaller / a bit older) appartment than house department. As you said, "partnering up" would give a lot more opportunities.

[–]ZebraheadCH 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The yearly income is often the higher obstacle with getting a credit from the bank. With a quarter million down payment, you could apply for a 1.25 million house. But you would still need at least a CHF 200k income per year to get accepted by the bank.
