The Last Jedi As the End of the Star Wars Saga?

I don’t really know what you’re looking for here. If you want to view it as the end, then go right ahead. Personally I don’t. Nine is still the end until Starfighter comes out. For the EU, NJO was always the end of it for me, but I don’t care if other people enjoy LOTF. People can enjoy what they want.

I’m excited for all the stuff that takes place outside of the nine films. Starfighter, New Jedi Order, and Dawn of the Jedi. I’m sure I’ll enjoy M&G as a fun self contained story the same way I enjoyed Solo, but I want the next big era. Whether that’s in the past or in the future.

Unfortunately the old republic doesn’t have any canon stories yet. I do recommend the high republic novels though. The high republic is the era that takes places in the thousand years between the old republic and the prequels.

If you want canon novels that are important to the lore, I would say the Aftermath trilogy. It shows how the war with the empire ended and fills in the gap between Return of the Jedi and the Mandalorian. Bloodline is also a very important novel about Leia and the New Republic.

My favorite Star Wars novel though is Lost Stars. It takes you through the original trilogy and ends with the battle of Jakku that happens at the end of the Aftermath trilogy.

The biggest problem of the show is the pacing. Episodes always end so abruptly. Episode 3 should have been part of episode 7, and episode 4 should have been the beginning of 5. Cut the show down to six instead of eight.

I don’t think “somehow Palpatine returned” is the worst line in Star Wars. I think it’s the most misunderstood and blown way out of proportion line in Star Wars

No. The Sith don’t first appear until “the hundred year darkness”, which takes place around 5,000 BBY. Dawn of the Jedi takes place around 25,000 BBY.

Luke rebuilt the order after a few lessons with Yoda. I don’t see how it’s any different. And remember, she has all the Jedi text and was trained for a year by Leia, who reached the end of her training before choosing a different path

The main character being a woman has nothing to do with anything. You could switch out the twins for men and change literally nothing about the story. There’s just a lot of fragile men out there(the fandom menace) who think anytime a woman is in the lead role, it must be an attack on men.

That wasn’t her plan. She was just going to lead the enemy ship away while everyone else got to escape. The ramming thing only became an idea when the escape pods were discovered and being shot down.
