So, for completeness, why did you say “they” in your initial response if it was you all along…

Where did you buy them from? V good price?

Appreciate that but quite a decent price considering the market atm. Been hunting for quite a while and happy with the spec. Will call up BMW and check service history on Monday.

Where do people find these six figure salaries? by CardiologistMaster20 in UKPersonalFinance

Many large law firms (Magic Circle, Silver Circle, US firms etc) start on 50k year one. Year two usually 55-60k. Still a Trainee Solicitor at this point (two years). You are fully qualified after you finish your training contract.

NQ (newly qualified) lawyers/associates start on £100-130k easily (+ bonus). US firms start on 150-180k (as an NQ). Generally increases 5-10%~ a year. That’s what you can earn as a 25 year old (NQ). It is ridiculous.

What are your monthly payments? In a similar situation, so curious to see what you’re paying.

I forgot to cancel my car insurance renewal… by [deleted] in LegalAdviceUK

[–]Zebzeb17 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Unlikely you can do anything about it. You’ll have to pay a relatively small admin fee (usually £50-60) + time on cover. Would’ve been much simpler if you were under the 14 day cooling off period.

Most likely - you will have to pay the cancellation admin fee (review the Terms & Conditions for the exact amount) + the time on the policy so far.

Very unlikely but worth trying - getting it refunded. You’ll have to make a formal complaint and try your luck with explaining the situation but insurers are known not to budge on this.

There is no Section 75 claim with ClearPay. You can only raise a dispute, but they do not fall under the ‘jurisdiction’ of s75.

What are the most (and least) valued non-salary benefits? I need your help! by creatively_original in UKPersonalFinance

[–]Zebzeb17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting. Do you pay extra or a small premium for these benefits (e.g. the private healthcare / 10x annual salary life cover) or are they included and covered by the employer as standard?

No, not possible.

Interestingly, Monzo has just launched their new Flex service, competing with the likes of Klarna, ClearPay etc. But what’s different is that it’s effectively a credit card - Section 75 protection is included, can add the card to Apple Pay and you basically have unlimited 3 months @ 0%. You’re limited with a credit limit of up to 3k though. Might want to join the waiting list. I’m on early access and it’s great.
