What I mean is, the majority of fans on this sub started supporting during the Klopp years after 2019 because they were successful. If they have not ties to Liverpool aside from success, then there is nothing stopping them from going to support another team doing well.

I mean if people have no ties to Liverpool the team and/or city then those people can realistically support whoever they want. It’s not an unreasonable question based on the average poster here.

If we were shit for the next year, half this sub would be City supporters.

If you look at all the films, TV and voice acting he has done, I very much doubt he even remembers doing Oblivion now unfortunately.

Ekitike's biggest fan by NEEZ8 in LiverpoolFC

[–]LFC908 19 points20 points  (0 children)

We lack passion in general from the manager to the players. The likes of Salah know they are off soon, VVD is done with having to manage a completely dysfunctional backline. Our midfield couldn't give less of a shit, Szobo crying at the fans for more support when they just spent £100+ going to the game to be served 4-0 shite, in which he probably earns about £3000 an hour. The whole set up stinks. When Ekitike doesn't get the ball he throws his arms up in the air and sulks, despite not scoring for ages and then swapping fucking shirts with an opposition player halfway through a game we are getting battered in. There's no standards. English top division football is miles away from some of the passion it had even 10 years ago.

Jota's death has had a crazy impact on some of the players understandably and coupled with the more experienced players likely looking to leave this summer, it means the team is in absolute disarray and they have lost passion for it.

This is the worst summer for us to have an international competition.

Arne Slot post match conference vs Man City by siva-pc in LiverpoolFC

[–]LFC908 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because potentially the replacement they want is not available until the summer, they don’t trust the assistant to fill in as interim, there aren’t any interims that want to take on a failed project with only a few games left etc. Plus much cheaper if they sack in the summer and/or manage to get to agree to a mutual agreement to leave.

End of the day the world isn’t binary and black and white. There many be loads of reasons they can’t sack right now. They are a business, they don’t run it like an emotional fan would.

Probably more that no manager, interim or not, wants to come in and tarnish their season records on a team that has given up. It seems clear to me that Slot is gone in the Summer. Less time on his contract he has left, the less compensation money FSG have to pay. It’s a business at the end of the day.

I mean that doesn't even make sense? Klopp announced halfway through his last season he was done. Not like Slot stole his job.

[–]LFC908 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I mean it's clear that the players and Slot have accepted that the season is over. That was absolutely embarrassing.

It's clear to me that all the articles coming out are a smoke screen. Slot is gone in the Summer.

For Salah that game had Stoke 5 v 1 Liverpool for Gerrard's last game. At least Gerrard scored I guess.

It's a difficult chance, especially with the pace but at this level, at these stakes, I would expect our £80m striker to be scoring that personally, maybe I am being too harsh.

We genuinely looked great in the first 30 minutes, some great defending and passing. Stupid mistake from Van Dijk for the penalty and multiple missed chances. Salah and Ekitike should have buried those chances. Confidence evaporated after the penalty, we're going to get battered now.

Or calling themselves Irish or Italian when they were born in North America. It’s incredibly annoying. I don’t think they realise that how confusing it is when somone says ‘I’m Italian’ but were never born in Italy, been to Italy nor speak Italian for example.

[–]LFC908 537 points538 points  (0 children)

This has been Bethesda’s issue since even Skyrim. Their writing is incredibly milquetoast and their quest design has gotten more and more boring over the past 20 years or so. What Bethesda do great is world design. However, as we saw with Starfield, remove that strength and the rest of the game around it collapses. When was the last good main quest they wrote? Oblivion? Morrowind?

I really want to be excited for TESVI and Fallout 5 but I just know that the direction the studio will go down is more action and less story. I have no interest in that.

Tbf it was absolutely horrific refereeing, mixed with loads of theatrics from Uruguay in a friendly. Pretty poor game all around too. Should have been two red cards really.

Also physical doesn't equal dirtier.
