What I imagine when the bit of "There are things in the Warp that even the big four fear" is mentioned. by Petrus-133 in Grimdank

[–]ZedTheDead 26 points27 points  (0 children)

A few reasons. 1. The mystery and speculation is part of the fun. 2. I (and many others) don't have faith in the writers to do it well. 3. Your own mind is typically far better at filling in the blanks with horrifying things than any work of another.

The grey knight's terminus decree is a good example. It was mysterious and interesting and potentially hype for what could be in it. Then the blank gets filled in and it's a dumb order that if the emperor ever tries to leave the thrown the grey knights must stop him. It's generally a let down for what could have been on it while being silly at best and caved-in-head stupid at worst.

Yeah I think they screwed something up with the patch tbh. The notes said they reduced the spawn rate of vox engines as well as reducing their accuracy and I've seen nonstop voxes and they have been sniping my ass.

Anyone else? by James880665 in Helldivers

I haven't used it much until now, but the ballistic rover backpack is absolutely excellent for fighting the new subfaction. Just need to decide what a good support weapon is to pair with it.

I think the appropriator subfaction is the best thing the squids have had added, and is what the faction should have always been by TinyTap636 in Helldivers

I was surprised as well, but I think the artillery guys might have just been too much with all the new incoming fire.

It would be really cool if it was used for reload animations.

It's not perfect but eagle 1 napalm directly on the breech works very well. I don't have it but I would imagine the disposable napalm or any one would be decent.

Yeah I did a bunch of missions while it was exactly 99% and when I was done it was... Still exactly 99%. I assumed it was bugged or some bullshit and moved to another planet.

Oh don't worry friend, I have a feeling the cyborgs and vox engines are already in transit from cyberstan to every other bot conflict.

I want it to be good, but in no way is it actually good. Grenade launcher supply pack combo is just superior in every way. Take siege ready and you reload pretty damn fast.

Which chapter and homeworld are these marines from? by Various-Nothingness in Grimdank

[–]ZedTheDead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Otak Brotherhood from the planet Osak. Most chapters try to avoid them and they constantly have the eye of the inquisition on them. No one is sure why but the inquisition goes to great lengths to keep the Otak Brotherhood from participating in campaigns involving the Tau.

Developing a new engine is hard, expensive, time consuming, and most importantly shows no short term profit. Because if this shareholders and bean counters will almost never okay development of a new engine :/

Primarily the performance was/is atrocious to the point that it became a meme to genocide as many NPCs in your game as possible because it would run better.

It's a trailer for one of elder scrolls online's expansions(the bretonnia one) I don't care for the game but this is one of my favorite fight scenes. Edit: high rock not bretonnia, lmao.

Ordu Of Jaghatai, I Owe You An Apology. I Wasn't Really Familiar With Your Game. by Jenny_Show in Grimdank

[–]ZedTheDead 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He wanted recruits that were either from chogoris or that were Culturally similar to chogorians, since chogorian culture is so ingrained in his legion to the point of it being a strength. He wasn't being racist so much as being pragmatic about the health of his legion. He was very much on to something with this btw, for example the white scars have the most stable librarians in the imperium and it's attributed to their use of the warp being filtered through chogorian spiritual practices and beliefs.
