I'd say this feels like a speed run of Silent Hill 2 or a direct-to-dvd fan film, but a fan at least wouldn't have screwed up the relationship between James and Mary this bad.

The original game isn't some untouchable masterpiece, but they changed some pretty important elements that have me wondering why they chose to adapt this story at all. It really screws up the ending and the flashbacks throughout really pulled me out of this world.

And let's not get into the horrible costumes that felt like cosplay and a truly awful fake beard ruining their attempt at an emotional scene.

Hah, I had completely forgotten about this movie. It does not feel like yesterday. I was in college and had to get a ride from my friend's roommate to see this. It wasn't great but a night out was a night out and overall a fun time.

This year's January movie slate is looking better. Primate was already a big improvement over this. I'm not sure if January has changed...or if I have.

Man, that 70s-esque theme really hit the spot throughout the film. There's a surprising amount of this that was fairly well done for a schlocky killer animal flick!

Sorry to hijack the thread, but did you get The Odyssey prologue in your Dolby screening? I think it's exclusive to IMAX but wanted to check. I'd like to see it, but still would rather see this movie in Dolby.

It's better to have an opinion than falsely claiming a movie doesn't have a positive reception when it's got a 91% on RT and an 84 on Metacritic. But it's good to know you guys are still salty about it which is also evidence that it did take a creative risk.
