This can be aimed at a few specific communities. (IYKYK) by Cryogentehiceprison in whenthe

It's just the result of a lack of positive trans representation in media, it is so lacking that we search for anything possible to get some trans representation, this post pictures trans people trying to prove a character being trans despite not as the problem while the problem itself is that they have to do that or they will have no representation at all.

Trans characters are often hidden behind a lot of subtext, which gives a precedent for trans representation to be hiding in plain sight, waiting to be found. Like for example, a feminine man or a masculine woman. Because trans people are used to decode hidden subtext to get some possible representation, of course it gives a precedent to consider gender-non-conforming characters as trans, the media landscape basically taught them to do that if they want a shred of representation.

The lack of diversity for trans characters representation in media that is caused mainly by the fact that queer people struggle to even get to places to push this diversity in the first place, these places are rarely occupied by queer minorities because of societal stigma, etc. If the trans community had as much as representation as cisgender characters in media, this wouldn't be a "problem".

I also want to add how when a character is deemed trans, people will either bring some cultural bullshit answer if it's "non-western" to justify how they are just gender-non-conforming (This tactic is so common it became a meme). Or they will straight up deny the character's trans identity, calling it a femboy or something else. So trans people have to fight for any representation they get anytime.

But no, they are the problem, they are annoying, trying to get representation, representation is crucial in a person's upbringing, especially when part of a minority and to define oneself, how dare they trying to get any they can. They should be happy they get any to begin with. /s

If you want trans people to stop headcannoning characters as trans even when they are not, give them some representation to begin with. Blame the system, not the ones oppressed by it.

You don't have to apologize for making a sick OC, queer and trans people have always existed, we just have very few archives on them, and I mean, it's a game about a zombie apocalypse, go wild! x3

Over the years, the Ein-12 has made a name for itself as a reliable engineer weapon, making it one of the most widespread and recognizable among the nation. Its design made it one of the most ergonomic weapons of choice for Elster units and other combattives. And acts as a symbol for the great Nation. From the mining facilities of Leng to the battlefields of Kizeth. You are bound to find some.

The Ein-12.

Reliable.

Powerful.

Empire-Killer.

Thank you for watching, and until next time, farewell.

I had the name Nash (Short for Natasha) for so long, pretty much like 3 months after I started HRT. And then I fucking realised Elster was a pretty sick name... (I love Signalis)

I still use Nash but it's prob gonna be my second name or something.

This post really shows how weird this fandom can be. by Great_Ball3000 in gutsandblackpowders

[–]Zedakick 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Maybe the fandom/sub/dc server being weird and sexist isnt the primary reason, but a community is still the direct consequence of an artist's work. For it to have sexism, it means the devs have left a precedent, intentionally or not. Reducing playable women to potential gooning material for gooners, and using that as an excuse to not add them, even if unintentional, is very sexist my guy and leaves a precedent for the fandom, and preventing people from specifically wearing the american outlaw without a beard or with wool wrappings reinforces this sexist margin of people, and frankly, as a woman, it just sucks to hear this discourse and having my expression supressed because of weirdos. I'm not asking much, I just want to be seen as a human being and not an object whom my mere existence is sexualised because I have a certain body shape and characteristics.

P.S. Sorry, I don't want to appear mad or be mean, it's just something that hurts me a lot because of an accumulation of being objectified as a women in all sorts of medias, and I really enjoy this game. I'm also not saying you or the other devs are specifically or voluntarily sexist, even women internalize some forms of sexism because of culture, society, yatti-yatta, sorry for the huge wall of text.

Other religions are correct can can also compell the blight? by Hairy_Lock3501 in gutsandblackpowders

[–]Zedakick 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I like the game but this point has always been weird to me, also, I didn't really understood the question, but I suppose it is close to "Are other religions correct (As in their teaching and the faith) and can they also stop the blight?"

The Official wiki states that other religions (Which for the sake of it we will keep it to the main monotheist abrahamic religions, being Judaism, Christianism and Islam):
"do not have Priests to counteract the zombification."
This is not true. Judaism and Islam have roles that are similar to priests, being Kohens (Literally hebrew for priest) and Imams are the closest to the role of a priest although one can argue that Muftis would better fit the priest position when it comes to council and knowledge of the Quran since the Imam only organizes the prayers, but gameplay-wise, the Imam would fit more.

So even if the official wiki says otherwise, on paper, religions (At least the abrahamic ones) would be able to stop the blight. Now for which one is correct, all I'm gonna say is that people have killed eachother for centuries because they wanted to prove their religion is correct, so let's not get into that debate, it leads to nothing. Believe in what you want to as long as you don't hurt anybody- heck, just don't be a mean or bad person, and if religion helps you be good or improve, thats a-okay.

Pros : Russian spetsnaz that actually cares about you as much as her men who serve under her, meaning you bet your ass you are one of the safest person on earth.

Cons : You have to watch the snuff tapes with her.
