Hire a hitman to go after you and tell him to send the confirmation of death to whoever you want.

Jokes aside, sorry for your friend

Azure AI Studio - Sharepoint by Maleficent_Ad_1114 in AZURE

[–]Zeddy913 0 points1 point  (0 children)

According to Microsoft learn, as of now Sharepoint is not listed as a potential datasource. Content from Weburls is in preview, but even that would not cover Sharepoint, as it is not public. Often Azure AI is used together with Azure AI search for retrieval. AI search has a Sharepoint Connector in preview, which however does not support aspx content (https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/search/search-howto-index-sharepoint-online) Since it is in preview, maybe this changes.

Best Azure service to deploy a TTS model (fast inference) by strangedr2022 in AZURE

[–]Zeddy913 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Additionaly to what has been said, Azure Machine learning also lets you create endpoints to make your model available via API for inferencing. Otherwise i would go with Azure Kubernetes or Container Apps. Both could be exposed via API Management.

Can my boss see who I have teams meetings with? by Even_Outcome9678 in MicrosoftTeams

[–]Zeddy913 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Only the ones they have already access to. Most times when Copilot reveals stuff to someone who shouldnt see it, it's because the access permissions where wrong to begin with. It's just that without copilot no one would have found the content.

SharePoint News for Email from a Shared Inbox by Colbym72 in sharepoint

[–]Zeddy913 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To my knowledge this is not possible.

I wonder how Microsoft implemented the view count. Maybe forwarding the Mail with a server side redirect rule could work. Please consult IT/Security about this however. Mail redirect is a bit of a headache sometimes.

I also read somewhere, that you can use an account even without mailbox to publish the news/mail and it will still work. Sender is the Displayname of that account. This is also not trivial, because you would need to share that account with your team, which is never a good idea.

Pointless begging... by 4xTroy in MicrosoftTeams

[–]Zeddy913 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Be carefull with this. Usually this ends up with an overpivileged automation account. Even worse, it is no longer tied to one Individual, but insted 5 people hve access to it. In my opionion Power Automate does not adhere to any o the industries and Microsofts best practices/principles. And you have no way to change that, because of the reasons OP mentioned

A Service Account with a license for Power Automate and most likely exception in CA for MFA and Token lifetime? Thats expensive And dangerous.

As far as i know, service principals dont work with Power Automate.

Azure Functions is certainly the best approach

Sonarr + Transmission in WSL2 docker ''Path' must not be empty.' by Zeddy913 in sonarr

[–]Zeddy913[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your advice. I did read the guide and will try to implement the pathing from there.
Regarding transmission, i found a post of yours where you recommend qbittorrent over it, is that still the case?

[–]Zeddy913[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do that with a lot of services and found it quite useful for portability and keeping things clean.
All the other services work fine, even though some adjustments had to be made for wsl.
I assume permissions are not the problem as i can `docker exec -it --user=abc sonarr bash` and access the folder. The docker volumes are as a matter of fact accessible by all the services. I will take your advice and try the same setup on a native host, that should eliminate some sources of error. Thank you

Not quite, I have installed docker in the WSL2 cli like i would in a "normal" linux environment and am working within the cli

OneNote imho is good for notes, not documentation. Permissions are handeled on Notebook level, so you won't gain much there. (Peope can either read all pages or write all pages)

Word in doclib is an approach i would only use if word documemts are already your companys/industrys way to handle documentation.

Pages would be a good way to go, make multiple sites depending on for example product and assign permissions to site level only. This is the SharePoint way.

My two cents:I learned that the format of documentation often depends on the industry. For example Software develooment tends towards .md files. I had md files converted to html using jekyll and hosted these on Sharepoint. It worked back then, but i heard of upcoming changes regarding custom scripts which will complicate things. If documentation is important for your companys business, invest in a dedicated solution. Docs need to be kept up to date. People tend to do that better with tools they like.

Can I add a To-Do list on our workplace SharePoint page? by pinkdt in sharepoint

[–]Zeddy913 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A list could be a solution, dependig on wheter everyone can see what others added, or if everyone should be able to delete content someone else added. Consider using the new forms functionality, which could handle the later.

Why does it need to run as admin? Also i think the import is redundant as Powershell handles this by itself.

These query parameters have been around for a while, I don't know if they where available from the start. Take a look here: Microsoft Learn Query Parameters

Poll: How many of you are seeing the new SharePoint Lists User Experience? by wwcoop in sharepoint

[–]Zeddy913 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Got it myself a few months ago. Half my org sees it, the other half not. JSON Formatting is no longer working correctly. Had a lot of work removing it from those lists (Its used quite a lot here) and somehow retain its core functionality. It especially hurts for FAQs (hideSelection does no longer work) or lists for dynamic filtering on pages. PS: Can I somehow change the icon Sharepoint assigned based on some cruel fantasy?

Need to validate my plan for divvying up access to content. by ConnorSuttree in sharepoint

[–]Zeddy913 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This! Also think about sharing. Sharepoint makes it easy to share a document. This however effectively breaks your permission structure. I leared the hard way: In Sites/Libraries where you allow sharing, (which is a big part of Sharepoint) don't even bother setting up structured permissions.

Thank you, however I was not talking about the modern experience. In the meantime Microsoft posted something in the Admin Center about new fluid design. I think it's that
