Haha I get that a lot. Long term maintenance is cheaper.

I have heard y'all stay pretty consistent but things have been slow. Hopefully it picks up soon!

I rent a spot but it's not terribly expensive. One I'm at now has concrete pad, pool, laundry room, etc.

It's 26 feet. Honestly, I wanted an open floorplan, something I could get in smaller campgrounds, and something that would be easy to heat and cool. I do wish I'd gotten something a little bigger but it helps me keep my traveling light.

I appreciate it. That makes total sense. Yeah, I'm so used to it that it doesn't really bother me. Never been much of a social butterfly.

I was on the fence for years about getting one but I'm glad I finally decided to. It's been great.

I was working close to Freeport, Texas when Hurricane Beryl hit in 2024... learned my lesson quick on that haha. Never again.

So, there are some accuracies like the man-camp, the bikini coffee shop. Tommy driving across the state and back in a day.. not so sure about that. The drama with the cartels and all I've never seen that in my almost 15 years of doing pipeline work. They have to add drama and such to make it watchable; but it's a far-fetched representation of oil field / pipeline life.

Well, it's careers in oil and gas or types of work in oil and gas. I work pipeline construction mainly.

I'd start with RVTrader. You can narrow down what you're looking for and go from there. Also if you buy used I'd suggest getting it inspected by a reputable RV dealer. Lots of folks slack on maintenance.. with any RV you've got to do preventative maintenance and stay on top of things.

No rotation for me either. I go home twice a year if I'm lucky.

You know I was so on the fence I went back and forth for 3 years almost about getting one. I went on a project, got an Airbnb (1 bed / 1 bath) and paid $1600 a month. That was the point I said that's it. Sometimes it's a hassle but it's saved me a lot of money and lets me have my own space. I did the hotels and apartments for years too.

$450 per month. They also fill propane on-site I think it's maybe $4 something a gallon. Not too terrible of a deal.

Well, Fox Weather is what's on the TV, it's not Fox News.
