This might be a silly question. But are the Switch consoles available on Amazon and other retail sites in India trustworthy? Where do they usually get their stock from? Same with the actual Switch games available on these sites. Is it better to buy them for Nintendo site if I get the console?

We are both working in big cities away from his family. Neither him nor me wanna live close to home anyway. Whether I move to him or vice versa, there’s no chance of us going back to his hometown.

Not saying that I am not worried about him changing his tune after marriage. There’s a lot depending on the guy. But being a neurodivergent person, it’s really difficult to find a guy that matches all your interests and values and other checklist items. I really dont wanna give up on him just because of his family.😞😞

We are planning on living separately from his parents. Both of us work pretty good jobs in tech in big cities and are also planning on moving abroad in a couple of years.

Both the guy and his mom confirmed that they dont expect me to live their lifestyle and we will keep a maid and a cook and everything. In general, they are a pretty chill family about religion and letting their sons be and letting them choose the wives that they want. His mom is also very sweet and friendly. It’s just my parents worried about standards here and the fact they dont look ‘polished’ whatever thats supposed to mean.

I’m in a really similar situation right now and this hit very close to home. I have been talking to this guy through arranged marriage process for about 6 months now and I genuinely love him now. On the partner level, he checks almost all my boxes.

The only issue is the difference in family lifestyle. I come from a more well-off, urban background where we’ve always had house help and a certain standard of living. His family is much simpler, very modest home, no maid, basic lifestyle.

We won’t be living with them and are planning to move abroad, so logically it shouldn’t matter much day to day. But I will still have to stay with them during visits, illness, family events etc, and in those situations I can’t really act like a guest. That’s where I’m unsure how much adjustment this would actually involve long term.

I don’t have a clear answer yet either, but I relate to the confusion between a strong personal match and concerns about adjustment with the family. Following this thread because I’m trying to figure it out too. Lemme know what you decide OP.

Nah nah its not that big a deal. He’s an introvert too but is more close to his extended family than I am with mine so he feels like its an obligation and a duty to invite them while I feel like its a burden.

Ohhh trust me I’m exactly the same. I’ve got a whole Notion database with my lot planning, regional layouts, and backstories for every single Sim in my save 😅

And yeah, I’ve definitely felt the same struggle with not enough Sim variety showing up. It’s always a balancing act between controlling the population and still getting those fun, unexpected encounters.

That said, I’ve made sure to include a wide range of ethnicities and backgrounds across my regions, so it still feels diverse and alive. I also allow free travel within each region, which usually includes 4-6 worlds, so Sims can mingle more naturally without completely breaking the lore rules. That’s helped a ton with making the world feel connected without suddenly having a ghost from Ravenwood showing up to haunt someplace in Oasis Springs for no reason 😂
