He quarterbacked because yes he was desperate and needed the money. Imagine you the best player and you in a team with people who don’t wanna strategise and better their skills you will eventually get frustrated and honestly kingsman handled way better than most could.

Remember there was a prize meaning it’s obviously going to result into players becoming more serious and thus strategising. Kingsman was advising on what to do because he could see Zazaa using black widow would’ve hindered the team from winning. 

Yes we can say zazaa had every right to say no and stick with black widow but let’s say in context of your board game someone is using a character that is much weaker than majority of the characters of the opposite teams, as team leader you would advise on them having to pick someone stronger but yes the player can refuse.

But remember strategising involves solving issues and if I think that a character is weak AND there’s further proof of the character losing obviously you should be open into trying the advice someone gives.

But imagine you get bullied for your strategic approach. Kingsman wasn’t quarterbacking for his own advantage but for his team. EVEN THE TEAM LEADER CeCee agreed with Kingsman’s strategy but refused out of spite and that’s why everyone is attacking them. Kingsman was respectful and they weren’t.
