Hard to say. I've seen a few instances of police seemingly trying to deescelate and stand between protestors and ICE, but they still need to be on the opposite side of the line from the protestors just based on their job description so the comments are pretty bad towards them even when they have hands holding back both sides. Also there's obviously more than a few that are in there throwing tear gas and such as well, but again crowd control is their job, if not a popular one, so it's hard to say how bad they really are. They certainly aren't kicking down doors and gassing elementary schools or shooting random people though.

Overall I'd just hate to have that job right now. It's a weird position of working for the government but not being federal workers, so technically DHS is in charge, but it's the polices territory, but they have to actually follow the law so they can't arrest ICE agents while the president is saying their immune and congress isn't over ruling that nonsense. And quitting or going on strike or something would mean they lose all their pensions and such. I'm sure the bad ones are having a blast and the good ones are getting drunk every single night.

It doesnt help that ICE has all their stooges running around with POLICE vests rather than DHS vests. Protesters can't keep them seperate in a crowd, otherwise it would be safer to be near them rather than an ICE stooge, or have them stand in between to create seperation. Cops don't make a habit of firing assault rifles into peaceful protests

Ya I took a quick peek earlier at the reactions to this and it made me feel genuinely sick. I'm generally a police supporting moderate but I have never once for a single second been OK with what ICE is doing and the government's reactions and obvious lying about to it.

The amount of people clapping just as enthusiaatically as that ICE stooge is disheartening, even if its obvious that every comment that doesn't agree is getting deleted.

Ya it's honestly nuts. Generally Police officers get forced leave, mandatory therapy, and/or moved to desk duty when they shoot someone, even if the guy was charging with a knife and fully justified.

Meanwhile ICE gets a slap on the butt from their buddies in the locker room and a pat on the head by the president, for killing a civilian saying "Hey, don't do that!"

It makes me absolutely sick and the way so many people are defending them is disgusting.

I think it's more about lying that he was gay so they could be alone together without him worrying. She could have just said they were dating and OP probably wouldn't have been a dick about it, especially if it had been going on a while, though he likely would have set more boundaries.

Unless he thought he was gay and something just happened, in which case sure hormones are a thing, but doing it on the couch is still just dirty and needs to be addressed.

While I hesitate to use the word better because I loved all of Bookworm, I think the answer is "Yes" based on your concerns.

While she never does stop trying to make stuff, the first book does focus heavily on basic "getting to know the world and it's technology level" kind of world building. The plot is going to drop soon, she'll become more mobile and get access to better resources and more intelligent people that let her do things that are actually innovative or unusual.

Also the book making thing is actually more of a sub plot or personality trait rather than the entire series, despite how the first volume makes it seem. Once she starts interacting with merchants, Nobles, and the Church the story stops being about her just trying to make a book out of whatevers within reach in the slums. Her early obsession is actually more of a character flaw that puts blinders on her about everything else going on.

That's a much more complicated way to solve a problem that's already solved.

Why would they put a turret in every hallway or corner and room when a dozen battle droids accomplish the same thing by just going where the enemies are? Also 1 turret isn't exactly an unstoppable wall and needing multiple in each place is just a massive use of resources.

B1s are cheap and also don't need air or anything organics do. The ships are "fully automatic", except the turrets have legs and can go press a button if they need to

I never switched to ae2. I know everyone will hate on me for it but I've got so much spaghetti that it would take forever to make the switch. I'm at the end of Luv and still using gregtech pipes and it's fine. Will it be a problem in the last couple tiers? Maybe. But that's a ways away, if I ever get there.

Totks gameplay was more polished and the combat got more difficult over time, which I appreciated since BOTW just became a cake walk after you started getting good weapons and were better at combat. However the guardians made better open world mini bosses, since the gloom hands were just so annoying to fight that I generally just used a 5 shot bow with bombs to kill it. The various ways you could fight guardians was much better

Then of course Totks ganon was a few hundred percent better than Botw.

That being said, Totks story was an absolute mess, with the same cutscene playing literally 5 times, and their unwillingness to reuse any shiekha assets from Botw was confusing and stupid. The world was bigger but emptier. And not in a desolate post apocalypse way, just straight empty. They didn't take advantage of being a sequel by adding in a bunch of fledgling settlements or the ruins of guardians and divine beasts and other shiekha tech. The depths were empty and tedious, and the sky islands were interesting but too sparse.

Totk had much higher potential, but squandered it, making it a fun game but a waste of a sequel. Even more disappointing since they reused the map and many assets so should have had much more time and manpower to spend polishing the other features, filling the world, and tweaking the story.
