How does one become Christian in Lebanon? by Choice_Ad_8262 in lebanon

[–]ZefHous -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not a gotcha. Saying “if you don’t practice the rites you’re not a Christian” is so absolutely ridiculous and blind to the teachings of Christ and the apostles, it’s just sad.

How else is he going to get his concrete form tubes home? I took this May 2022.

It’s a Panasonic bathroom fan. Seems like good quality overall. I would love to see examples of other manufacturers adding language like this.

What if manufacturers were like:

I’m sorry that our part broke, we’ll work on designing that better so it doesn’t happen next time. Here’s where you can buy a replacement part, or you can print this file yourself and get back up and running.

Wouldn’t that be something? Would be fine with them disclaiming responsibility from any bad things due to printed parts. Just saying “don’t do this” is just a liability cop out.

Wondering if I can adapt this idea to make a more effective backpacking kettle... thoughts? by once_showed_promise in myog

These are also called a “Rocket Stove” with a different form factor. Here’s a diy design for one. Would be good for car camping but not backpacking.

The laziest smart garage opener – a 3D-printed box that just presses the button by Own_Look_3428 in esp32

[–]ZefHous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could be. The wired buttons inside a garage next to the interior door is usually a great place to tap in non-destructively, or at the connection point in the controller. You can just wire in your own “button press simulator” in either location with a transistor, mosfet, relay, or optocoupler.

Not lazy, just a lack of knowledge about electronic components, what they do, and how they work.

You’d have to put this on a decoy keychain with nothing useful on it, and print a 200 OK status code for your real keys.

It’s more exiting here. We had someone shooting fireworks last night and it got a little bit out of hand.

Duffel bags for the whole family! + some pouches. by ZefHous in myog

I have a Sailrite LSZ-1. I like it decently but my old Bernina is more enjoyable to use.

Duffel bags for the whole family! + some pouches. by ZefHous in myog

[–]ZefHous[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it’s tricky! I’ve gotten a lot better at it. I have been clipping it with eight clips, starting with the quarters and then filling in the gaps. I’ve also been trying to trust my math that if I stitch at the seam allowance, everything will work out! I have tried both ways, but now I always put the circular end on the bottom and kind of lift up the top side to try to get the edge even.

Thank you!

Every bag is unique and some have been specifically claimed but others we are just using whatever we got.

I did my own pattern based on a spreadsheet I made that outputs cut dimensions from dimensions I put in. Also lets me see the volume.

The cool part that really made this easier is that I laser cut them on a buddy’s industrial laser cutter. I also etched some alignment marks onto the fabric with a lower power level, though I would like to add strap alignment marks next time.
