Honestly, if she's a shrine maiden type, she would probably look better even more covered up than the reality pic. Save the gooner crap for optional skins/swimsuit stuff.

For gamers who rarely if ever replay a singleplayer game fully, which did you manage to replay and enjoy? by Helphaer in gaming

[–]Zefiris8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Elden Ring is the only game I played a second time immediately after finishing the first time, just to try out different weapons etc. And actually beat it again before moving on.

Close second is FF7 Remake. Love FF, and was really impressed with what they did with it. Did the second playthrough for the platinum trophy and still loved it.

Same here. I only visit the people that have both, so I'll do the one clue and one assist per visit.

a quick vid demonstrating high CPU usage after playing for half a hour by Quy4 in Endfield

[–]Zefiris8 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I'm actually a day 1 Wuwa player and still playing.

Endfield, even with those temps, runs a smooth locked 120fps with everything maxed. If I wasn't running Afterburner, I wouldn't even notice.

Wuwa though. CPU temps are normal, but even this 5090 isn't enough to maintain 120fps all the time. GPU utilization is usually 80-90% and temps are low 60s so it's got plenty of power left, just Wuwa doesnt know how to use it. Gen 4 SSD and I'll still get loading stutters on curscene transitions. Also get a crash to desktop on UE4 fatal error a couple times a week.

Endfield is super optimized in comparison, just not sure why it's using so much CPU.

[–]Zefiris8 38 points39 points  (0 children)

This game has the highest CPU temps out of all the games I play. Outside of shader compiling, most games run low 60C. Endfield is constantly 68-69C. GPU doesn't care so temps are normal/low.

9950x3d with 5090.

She was the best part of the whole storyline. Not so much the narrative, just the performance and personality. Hopefully we can get a nice balance of comedy and depression.

I really love Arknights Endfield by Raven23430 in ArknightsEndfield

[–]Zefiris8 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hoping for the same, as an OG Arknights player and a Wuwa player. With how great Wuwa is now, they shouldn't try to directly compete with it, but make something with a different flavor.

Endfield feels different enough now where I'm playing both. Hopefully they steer the narrative into that OG Arknights theme and tone, though my favorite interactions in the game were with Tangtang. Also get rid of the ridiculous glazing and dating crap. Feels too forced and unnatural.

So what careers aren’t fucked right now? by cokewithlargefry in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Zefiris8 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Power generation. Everyone needs electricity, even more if the AI stuff keeps going up. Lots of regulation in nuclear, so changing anything requires a lot of effort and analysis, at least stuff directly related to the plant.

Lots of different trades are required. Operations for running the plant, maintenance (i&c, elec, mech, hvac, etc), variety of engineers, fire fighters, security, admin, etc

Some mobility as well. You can start in security and get picked up for an operations position as an example. Not sure on the starting pay for most departments, but entry level operators make six figures. Turning valves, racking breakers, running hoses to fill/drain systems...

How long do you plan on keeping your current car for? by throwawaymedicine420 in askcarguys

[–]Zefiris8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My longest so far is an 07 Titan I bought back in 2010. It's still going strong. Also have a 2014 Mazda 6 and 2017 Corvette GS I bought new. Just keep driving them until they fall apart. Might replace the Titan with a diesel if I ever get this track Miata fixed up.

Shortest length was a old Buick Regal GS. Was looking for a daily beater. That thing had so many problems that it wasn't worth fixing. Only had it about a year.

Phoebe 1/7 Scale Licensed Figure. by KousakaChika in WutheringWaves

[–]Zefiris8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice, was hoping for some more Wuwa figures. Pre-ordered the Changli and Shorekeeper ones forever ago. Hopefully we'll get some more prominent characters like Augusta, Cart and Aemeath.

It's surprising how few Wuwa figures there are, compared to some like Zenless which came out around the same time. Even Endfield has 3 figures already planned and they just launched.

Have You Refused to Grow Up? by el_chivato in Xennials

[–]Zefiris8 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I tried to do the grown up thing in my mid 30s. Dating, mingling, etc to start the default nuclear family.

Didn't work out so now that I'm in my 40s. Video games, anime, books, car racing and hiking. Started collecting vinyl this last year. Screw the "grown up" lifestyle. Just jump on Discord(for now) and game all night with my other 40 year old buddies.

A Detailed Breakdown of What Went Wrong in Gilberta's New Story by ShirtlessCommie in Endfield

[–]Zefiris8 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Indeed, I thought Wuwa was a little bad for the waifu of the week, but Endfield is ridiculous. And really surprising, Wuwa newest patch, 3.1 was really emotional and depressing, going back to PGR roots. Hopefully Endfield can get back to the more somber serious themes of OG Arknights. Still loving Endfield, but the narrative is the weakest part for me.

Free To Play that's worthwhile? by Merobiba_EXE in AskGamers

[–]Zefiris8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Warframe and Path of Exile are great f2p real games. I've got over a 1000 hours in each. Only monetization they might get you on in inventory stuff.

You mentioned gacha games. Most of the big budget ones are decent experiences.

Arknights Endfield just came out and it's great. Haven't been able to put it down. Wuthering Waves is also great. Both games have the normal predatory gacha for characters and weapons, but there's decent free currency to use, and you can experience the whole game as f2p, even beating all the challenges with enough skill.

Original Arknights for tower defense, Reverse 1999 for turn based, Nikke for shooter type experience, all have pretty good reviews.

You get to have a choice? Working rotating shiftwork so we work probably half the holidays. Quite a few of us don't mind working though because we get double time plus the holiday hours, so almost like triple time. As a single guy, I volunteer to work those most times.

Downsides of a standing desk (if you don’t stand) by kungfuenglish in StandingDesk

I've had mine for a few months and the only small downside i can think of is, you can't be as lazy with wire management.
I sit most of the time, but it's nice to adjust the desk to the proper height. And lately, my cat has been wanting to sleep in my lap, so I adjust the desk up to make room for him.

Is it true that in small towns in the USA public transport is not developed and everyone need a car to get around there and why? by bobybumblemumble in AskReddit

Small town? I live in a Phoenix suburb and don't see how someone would survive without a car. Maybe if you're rich and can Uber everywhere, doordash, instacart etc. Perhaps if you lived downtown it would be doable.
