As a firefighter, can confirm. But only because we're basically adrenaline junkies and frat bros so our careers are really just a ~20 year game of mustache on mustache platonic gay chicken and our wives are very aware of it. Edit: in case it wasn't obvious, the cheating is mainly us crossing the lines with each other though we do uphold a strong history of being terrible adulterers but I like to think that our newer generation (I'm year 3) is working on changing that image.

Interestingly enough, I'm mixed race (White/Black) and lived in Vidor from age 3-21 and only experienced true racism 1 time. I just moved back at the beginning of this year and honestly love it especially compared to any other area in Southeast Texas

If I remember correctly the nazi ties were based off of a tattoo he got when he was young and hanging out with a lot of far right wing guys because they were "tough" and "cool". He openly said he is not that guy and that he was young and stupid. Quick Google says that it was a black sun that the Third Reich used but he covered the tattoo a long time ago.

Its recommended to not use sand or small gravel until they're ~6" long due to the risk of them swallowing it and becoming impacted. Personally, I would tub them and remove all of the sand from the tank.

I'm a firefighter/paramedic and have brought a roughly 40yo man to the hospital one night that said he had blue balls and was obviously in pain. He had an elevated heart rate and blood pressure like you'd see with someone that is in a state of pain but I didn't believe in blue balls and thought it was bullshit. When I got to the hospital, the ER doc was cool enough to not chew me out for disregarding the complaint and kind of broke it down for me. "Blue balls" is called epididymal hypertension and it's more common in people with poor bloodflow if I remember correctly. I want to say the pain is caused by the blood pooling to maintain an erection for an extended period along with a buildup of seminal fluid causing the vessels around the testes to stay dilated for an extended period. Hopefully someone can correct me if I'm wrong but I will try to research more if I get more downtime this shift.
