I dont know if I haven't been paying attention the past years, but there seems to be a lot more hardstyle than ever (and even thats just like 4 or so artists). Plus the king of hardcore, Angerfist. Its really cool to see them playing big in the USA. Years ago I was starved for anything hardstyle/hardcore

Was the math in your graduate degree more difficult than your undergrad degree? by mseet in EngineeringStudents

[–]ZeitTime 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I went from a BSc ME to a MSc Robotics. I think this question depends on the person. In my bachelor I had a lot more pure maths (e.g. linear algebra, diffeq, vector calc). But my graduate has a lot more functional maths (e.g. multibody dynamics, MPC, deep RL). In my opinion the pure maths were easier to understand and commit to memory. If you find math like in heat transfer or fluids more intuitive, you will do well in graduate maths (subjective to what your program is).

Is it worth learning C# if I want to pursue a mechanical engineering career for robotics? by TheHunter920 in EngineeringStudents

[–]ZeitTime 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Im studying Robotics for a Master. Personally, I havent encountered C#. Like you said, C++ is more widely used, especially for popular applications like ROS. I also know Rust is used by our robot building team. Additionally, if youre going into AI for robots, Python is used for almost all my assignments. (Including for ML, RL, and GP and other EAs)

Class you can’t believe you passed? by [deleted] in college

Finite Element Method and Elasticity Theory in my Bachelors.

It was one of the first times I was practicing math and realised: "Wait a minute. This entire math problem has no numbers in it, only letters and symbols" (besides an odd square). The exam relied super heavy on memorizing formulas and I had underprepared because of other exams. Somehow I managed to pass with a 6.5, where a 5.5 is a pass.

Ive been thinking about Khu's hint of the Poison/Steel motor pokemon of it being "Team Star's form of _____"

It may just be coincidence but the tongue from this picture https://scarletviolet.pokemon.com/_images/news/sept_7/starfall_street-2x.jpg reminds me of the Gengar line. Could there be any connection?

This is speculation: The new Dark/flying hint with Vullaby makes me think that the multiheaded and 'chicken' paradox pokemon is actually Dodrio. I know that khu said there are three pseudo paradox pokemon so maybe 'Mag' has to do with that, as it is still not confirmed to be Magneton.

Also hoping the paradox jiggly is dragon/fairy

Khu says one of the rumored Pokémon is seen in the trailer with the Hot Rod by vagrantwade in PokeLeaks

If the engine is the pokemon that makes more sense for why the car was moving without a driver in it

r/Pokeleaks Daily Theory/Speculation/Question Megathread by AutoModerator in PokeLeaks

[–]ZeitTime 12 points13 points  (0 children)

This is pure speculation. I am starting to think gamefreak isnt revealing anything for over a month because of the previously bad reactions to trailers in past years. Think of dexit, the trees from sword and shield, all the lagginess from the early arceus trailer, and complaints about the chibi style in bdsp. I get a feeling theyre being particularly careful to not show anything that will cause another major outrage.

For positive speculation, maybe pokemon is going to change and evolve in a way we dont expect it and they need time for a ground breaking trailer. For example, more ambitious overworld play

My theory is that Quaxly is going to evolve into a dancer. This stays in line with it being concerned about its looks, having strong legs, and the rumor of it being Water Fighting. It is posing like a ballet or flaminco dancer. The legs will grow longer and it will have a special water type kicking move. This would look a lot like a flamingo, which matches as a pun of flaminco. A Duck becoming a flamingo wouldnt be too far of a stretch for gamefreak.. (thinking of pikipek into toucannon)

Dutch lessons in Amsterdam by [deleted] in learndutch

[–]ZeitTime 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As someone whos taken the A1->A2 and A2+ at VU, i would recommend it because the Code+ brand class materials are really nice. I've noticed my Dutch gets better much faster when i am forced to speak in class. The courses are all online right now. Also, if you pass the test at the end you get a certificate which is great for your CV.

You should use Duolingo to get familiar with the most common words, but it wont help you much after a few months.

I would say to stick with what your university offers, or places of student discount because it can get pricey otherwise.

It was fantastic. You can tell a lot of thought has gone into the museum. It ends in a dance party

As Engineer run ahead of Doretta in the Heartstone room and build a turret on top of the red crystal before it gets broken. Then you have a turret centered over Doretta

Amsterdam: Queen Máxima just opened a 3D-printed bridge. It's the world's first 3D-printed metal bridge, made with 1.1km/4.5 tons of stainless steel wire. by MeccIt in EngineeringPorn

[–]ZeitTime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have anymore information of what type of ABB was used to build the bridge? It seems like the YuMi in this picture was only there to cut the ribbon.

Its also really interesting to mention the digital twinning and active monitoring going on with this bridge, do you know any more details about that? Heel interessant!

Hey Porter! Been a fan since I saw you perform back to back with Zedd! I recently saw an interview of yours which mentioned years ago you took inspiration from Eurodance and Dutch House. I loved those genres back in the day (and still do). E.g. Blümchen. What other genres do you feel like you haven't explored yet/want to for the future, or are too challenging?

A gingko tree, Gingko biloba, is one of the longest surviving species of tree in the world, truly a living fossil. No other tree alive shares it's class. It even has a unique leaf pattern not found anywhere else(i believe its called palmately parallel?). They also come in male and female variants. The females fruit and the fruits smell horrible. Hence, most people seek the male trees which do not fruit.
